Just a random idea that came to me from thinking about Terminator equipment and rules screw-ups.
For Vanilla Marines, Dark Angels and possibly Blood Angels (not sure how BA Terms work) players: If a new Codex came out and the ubiquitous LCs and TH/SS options were instead typo'd as being a choice of "a Lightning Claw and Storm Shield" or "a pair of Thunder Hammers", which of those options would you rather use? Assuming not just quitting the game/retiring the models/house ruling and such.
Not sure what either option would cost in this case, both would probably be in the 0-10 points range I'd guess.

I'd still run a mix.

You need a few SSs to keep the plasma off, so at least a pair of LC/SS termis, and probably the sarge as well. I like him to have a shield in case he needs to live through a challenge. A pair of 2xTH to pulp anything that lives to I1.

I'd field them with swapped weapons as often as I do now. They'd work somewhat different, but still worth it.

If the new Codex came out and said "Lightning Claw and Storm Shield", would you assume that was a new type--or a typo when next to it it says "Twin Thunder Hammers"?

I would rather have a Stormclaw and Twin Lightning Hammers!
