I no longer buy anything from forge world, because not only is their shipping charges ridiculous, every single one of my forge world orders arrived loose in a box with no protection, and as a result, damaged and broken.
There are other companies offering wold wide free shipping on extremely well packed goods.

I never had any problem with my packages. Did you tell FW your package problem ?

@joyboozer: i get that this will be a pain in the arse being up at the right time and probably cost money on the international phone call, but you really should call them and tell them that your stuff arrived damaged and your recommendation for a layer of something protective inside - they will ask you for a photo or two of the damage (presumably so they can assess the the cause/effect angle) and will most likely send you a new one.

I'm not saying that they will send you a new one because i have heard of rare cases when they send just the new part/s.

As for now they will most likely ask you to send the models back. Maybe that's because they started doing that 'quality check'. Which is pretty useless, since I had multiple miscast parts even when the kits were checked.

At least now you've got someone to blame for any miscasts or other defects.

I've had this happen to me as well, and I've made a lot of purchases from FW over the years. You never really know if they're going to carefully package everything, with the most delicate parts in separate bags and the box filled with packing peanuts, or without any form of insulation and everything smashed into bits in one corner of the cardboard box.

However, when I write to them asking for replacements for parts damaged in transport, the parts they send are always nicely insulated and intact. I don't get why they're content with this business model though, sending out replacements has to be more expensive and impractical, than making sure things are properly packaged to begin with. I also don't understand why they have no standardised way of packing their orders.

It says Skitarii reinforcements inbound.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

It'll be the Skitarii upgrade sets then, the Hoplites and the Peltasts.

Lets hope they have rules for them ready as well! Also it's getting to be around that time for the rumored release date of the next Imperial Armour book. I've been holding off on ordering anything else for my Mechanicum until these are out.

This man knows what's important.

Porphyrion and Deathwatch Contemptors is what I'm waiting for.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Hopefully will stick the rules with them; let me get more games in with the Hoplites I scratch built.
Do have custom rules for them, but they're janky and lack finesse.

Yep. And it just ticked over to September, marking at least a year since the decals I am dying for previewed. So... hope they sneak those into this inbound release too. Sigh.

Wish they would put more heft back behind something not 30k for just a while.

Aren't the Red Scorpions Ultramarine successors? I thought the Ultramarines looked down upon that whole "being an evil space nazi" thing.

Unknown primogenitor, but they follow the Codex Astartes to the letter, except for an obsession about purity that leads them to make an increased use of apothecaries, to the point of replacing squad sergeants with them. There are some theories that they are actually from traitor geneseed stock, hence the emphasis on purity and adherence to the Codex to show their loyalty.

Oh, very interesting! Seems like a lot of effort and resources to train and equip every sergeant as an apothecary!
