It really depends how they will change the rules for it. As per previous draft, it was 400ish++ points. Atrapos, nekked, is 435.

Given they bumped the Porphywotsit, the new Knight, up in size to what looks to be near enough Warhound scale, you'll probably need to put aside more cash.

That decision still pisses me off tbh, something slightly between plastic Knight and Cerastus scale actually has a reasonable chance of seeing the table every now and again, but I'm not spending that much on a model that'll spend 364 days a year gathering dust on a shelf until the annual Apocalypse game at the local club.

I agree. I understand their rationale, but regardless of how it looks in epic scale it's too difficult to justify in a more common game format... and we're still left with the need of some intermediate sized knight between cerastus and paladin.

If they use the old rules they had on display back then for the increased size model, it may feel a bit underwhelming.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but the Landing Pad is actually featured in the catalogue for 2016, alongside a lot of stuff they've since retired. I'm assuming the 2016 catalogue was prepared almost a year ago, so that certainly implies it has been planned for a long time, but then the Mastodon is also featured in the catalogue.

Yyeah, I was kinda thinking the same. While they are definitely cool, I would have loved to see Questoris ones too. Heck, I just might even assemble a regular knight head and compare it to Cerastus one, to see if i could just slap a magnet somewhere.

I'm pretty sure that with a little bit of conversion work they'd fit fine on regular knights.

I think FW has adopted the same stance with the book as with their Legion specific dice: the more you whine, the more they push it back.

The normal Cerastus Knight Heads are larger than the standard Imperial Knight heads.

Originally they were saying they'd rerelease the Cerastus Knights with these heads and the Atrapos' armour so players could have fully Mechanicum versions... I can't say I want just a head.
