I've started a skaven army for AOS and need a good hero who will survive relativey well and also dish out some damage against medi-core infantry but I don't want to spend £70 on a vermin lord. Do any veteran skaven players have any suggestions??

Pick a random guy in the big unit of storm vermin, or a random slave.

Warlord doesn't need to be a hero.

Hellpit, regens D3 wounds every round, can just come back to life on a roll of 5-6.

Competitive? A Hellpit Abomination. Fluffy? I run my Warlord with a Warpforged blade.

Me too . I had a friend who spent 3 months finding and building a badass looking custom one. It was finished 2 weeks before AOS was published

I'm using Ikit Klaw. He has led the children of the horned rat to 6 inevitable skaven victories so far in our league.

Vermin lords are £55 actually, best warlord is probably tretch craven tail but spine tail and the normal warlord are both good depending on what your focusing on. Personally i wouldn't use a screaming bell until you have a vermin lord as the 12 result allows you to summon one in and AoS is really a wiziwig kinda game!
