Subject: [1850] - Skitarii / Blood Angels / Iron Hands - Drop pod hell (NOVA)
This is my new list for the NOVA tournament. I'm using a Skitarii Maniple for their firepower, a BA Flesh tearers formation for 7 pods (6+1 dedicated transport), and the skyhammer annihilation formation for super dakka and good assault.
Tactical Squad (5)
• Drop Pod (dedicated transport)
Drop Pod
• Deathwind Missle Launcher
Drop Pod x 5
Skyhammer Annihilation Force (740)
• Iron Hands
Assault Squad (5) x 2
Veteran Sargent
• Eviserator
• Jet Packs - All
Devastator Squad (5) x 2
Space Marine Sargent
• Melta Bombs
Devastators
• 4 Grav-cannon and Grav-amp Drop Pod (dedicated transport)
I put the assault squads in drop pods and they can assault the turn they deep strike. I start the game with no units on the field and drop in 7 pods first turn. 4 of the pods are from the skyhammer annihilation force and the other 3 are half rounded up from the remaining 5.
That's my list let me know what you all think.

Why have you picked the wrong Chapter Tactics on the Skyhammer?
I would dump the inviserators and deathwind to make one of the Dev squads full so you can combat squad and split that grav into multiple targets. I would also drop the conversion field to get that squad a combi grav and the melta bombs to get the other squad a combigrav you want to maximise the alpha with this type of list.
Also I'd make the Sang priest warlord. He drops later and is tougher and has tougher bodies and is in a low priority unit. Make your opponents choices difficult kill the stuff that is wrecking their army or kill the Warlord.
What is your plan for invisistars and Pent Flyrants? Or Daemons for that matter?
Id drop the other Plasma Calivers, they are really only good on the Warlord cuz PE, and give them Arc Rifles instead. After that id juggle some points (like using a Scout Squad instead of the Tac Squad) and get an Onager with the Icarus Array for some sick Skyfire.
Against a player worth his salt they won't get to fire for a 2nd turn (still Bs6 for that) and if they don't do 300+pts worth of damage in the first 2 rounds of fire there is no way you're getting a 3rd and if they have then they've done their job. This is an Alphastrike list it wins early or loses and putting your Warlord in there just makes your opponent's life easier. Why do you want to make your opponent's choices and game easier?

I guess thats valid. I play footslog Skitarri which is why i do it, as there are a lot of targets they need to deal with.
