As the title says. Although it turns 130pts into 150, it also adds 6 str 5 shots. Add a Pintle-mounted Heavy Stubber for 5 more pts and that's 3 more shots. That's a total of 16 shots (including the hull mounted heavy bolter and Autocannon) into infantry, 4 of those being good against medium vehicles, and all being good against light vehicles. Worth 155pts?

Depends who you're playing against. If you're playing a horde army, the LRE with 3x HBs can shred squads quickly and definitely worth it. If you play against mostly MEQs, you might want to consider other sponsons.

I fight MEQ's pretty much 100% of my casual games. Currently the only vehicles I have are a Vanquisher and an Exterminator (the rest are DKoK infantry and siege cannons).

Both tanks don't have sponsons, but if I REALLY wanted them, I could probably cut something out. I'm more thinking about tourniments, as me and my brother are thinking of going to one after we've completed our armies.

I guess what I'm asking is, should I keep the lemon russes as dedicated anti-tank or should I try and make the exterminator a jack-of-all-trades?

Apart from the vanquisher and the two ordinance russes I usually load up on HBs where I can. Each one costs the same as two guardsmen and will do a lot more damage. The exterminator is already a jack-of-all-trades anyway so don't worry about that.

You mean one of these? Yeah sure, why not. I personally am against GMO but maybe the sponsons would take some of the sourness away.

Hell I add them just to help use up destroyed weapon results.

I'd say yes, with the caveat of making the hull weapon a lascannon.

This loses only a tiny bit of anti-weeny infantry firepower, but makes it better at engaging heavy infantry, MC's, and medium armor, and allows it to at least to *something* against heavy tanks if it absolutely must, augmenting the main turret weapon a bit better.
