Subject: VOTE For The Winner Of The August Painting Challenge: Judgement Day!

I love the idea! I'd held off suggesting prizes simply as I don't have the budget to supply anything meaningful, and the only other hobby related thing I could offer as a prize (commission work) would be redundant considering that this is a paint competition and the people winning are painting better than I am! But if BC is up for doing some dice bags, that would be very cool indeed!
Banners are cool, I'd have made some by now if I had a clue how! If anyone with the know-how wants to put together a general promotional banner and eventually winner/2nd/3rd place ones then PM me and we'll discuss some ideas.
I'm working on the assumption that the League winners would simply be the entrants with the most points, but I guess we could also have one-off rewards for the annual 'highest votes in a single round' or 'most wins' or something. It depends on how many dice bags BC is willing to do/if we get any other offers of prizes as to how much we can reward.
Question is, are we going to keep it annual, so end this League at Xmas, and start a 2016 League that would run for the full year, or do we end this in March next year and start again from there so there's been a full 'year' for the League table?
This is all just rambling, something to think about closer to the time. But since it came up, I figured I'd throw in me tuppence.

Good start if the boss likes it

They are just images of a certain pixel size and you insert a html link in your signature. I'd go with winner of the month and promotional only, would get confusing otherwise.

I think I would imagine one annual dice bag for the person with overall most votes in the year. That would mean less work for BC and compensate for those who only entered once, but got 1st place in comparison to someone who got 4th 12 times. And hence your next point about calendar vs March to March period. I'd stick with 12 months, we're in no rush and March is way less busy than Christmas to do this sort of stuff.
But hey that's my ramblings. Your's were far more understandable And anyway, you get to say whatever you want because it's your baby

I'm happy to do top three and something like "Most votes ever" for a miniature. It doesn't take very long to do multiples once a design is generated, it's less wasteful in fact. It also means if someone won for five months and then vanished by the end of the year, there's some folks can still be awarded bits and bobs.
I'd quite like to do "Painters Choice" where we get just the folks who took part to pick their favourite entry from the year.
My £0.013 (damn, exchange rate is bad!) - a full year means we're not looking at this crap in December on top of NewYearsChristmasFamilyGathering-o-rama. I can actually see attendance around that time being quite poor due to holiday commitments.
If you guys like, I can have a go at banners and a little small Orkmoticon sized medal for 1st-3rd after this weekend. Not to say anyone else shouldn't! I have KB's decals to do too, so it'll be day of fannying about.

So, finish in March then! Sounds like a plan. I'll make a note and get back to you closer to the time.
If you can manage some banners that would be awesome, but there's no pressure whatsoever! You're already giving up enough time running this thing this month!

BC you are the man. Thank you for your kind offers.
In response:
Loving the idea of a painter's choice award at the end of 12 months.
Cool for "most votes for a mini"
Will the top 3 be scored based on league points? (That's already there obviously)
When we get to the end of the 12 months I'll tally up the total votes (I've been keeping them all) and see if there are any surprising results. It's on a spreadsheet and will take about 20 seconds to do. Maybe we could agree to have a loose category of most votes over the year if different from first place in the League. I suspect Januine is gonna enter every month, so hence that category will be null and void in that instance

Cheers to those of you who spared some kind words and/or a vote for my little skulls, means a lot considering the wealth of talent in this group of gentlemen.
I think Arclaw's was my favourite entry, but trying to assemble any particular order is really a futile exercise.

I absolutely agree with you. Trying to rank all the entries each month is always tough and it's great to see everyone pushing their abilities.
Winter/Janine you guys did an amazing job with the Dominus and its convinced me that I need to add some Cult Mechanicus to me Guard.

Crikey what a week. Finally grabbing a few mins to get a good n proper look at all the entries. Some seriously great stuff again this month. Voting was a bugger. Ended up having to go over a bit
KustomerD - love this wee dio. At first just saw the masive cybork and then a sencond look reveals more treats in the little remotes!! great sense of action. Love
TP - Great dio and again lovely sense of the moment; Bob furiously gunning away as the necron rise up around his ride. Really nice work on the wraith too
Zerg. - very nice job - particularly like the metal armour embedded in the flesh. Defintely gonna have to pick up one of these guys fro myself
Arclaw - Sweet paint job. These are infinity figs aye? Can't help thinking how cute and mischevious they look!!!
Winter - beautiful paintjob on the Dom. Really is a sweet sculpt and you certainly improved on the Metallica scheme. The weathering and grime adds so much extra grimdark to it and looks the business
Winterhound - Love this tank. All the baneblade variants are pretty sweet but the Stormlord is a personal favourite and you did an outstanding job in it. Great job in the camo and just enough weathering to make it look well used but still clean enough to show how powerful these beasts are.
Thx again to Para; organising this month after month is no easy feat. Big cheers to all you voters too.

Hi, I was away with work in Vienna this week so didn't have the time to type a message (but did manage to vote )
Matthew wrote::
Midget Gems; I love the orkiness. Is it scratchbuilt? I don't even care, It looks right, as if a Mek made this with love and puke. Mostly love.
Thanks for the comment Matthew, to explain the model a bit more I found half of it in a ebay bits box buy so I a cleaned as much of the glue off that I could, chopped the center out to fit an ork in and repositioning the leg to be crushing a Necron for a slight extra link to the theme. The gun was another bit from an bits box buy connected to a spare arm, the sides are plasticard sheets and rods cut for rivets, the cables I made from greenstuff.
Just a shame I didn't get to finish it in the end, I have only been at home for 1 week + weekends out of the last 5 due to work. Thank you for your kind words and to everyone that voted for me

And that's a wrap! Time to announce the winners to the sixth round of the challenge!
In third place, with a monstrous Stormlord Superheavy Tank, is
Winterhound!
In second place, we have a fantastic Magos Dominus by
Winter
And taking his third win (this is getting silly now ) and with what I believe is the highest score recorded so far, is
Januine with another Magos Dominus and his Castellax Automata bodyguard
Congratulations to the winners, and everyone else who took part! This really was a cracking month and there are an array of very impressive scores across the board!
This month, things are getting epic in a challenge titled 'Never Tell Me The Odds', so be sure to head over there and take part!
