Since the end of the HH, the Daemon Primarchs have only been minimally effective. They're not the galaxy sweeping brutes they were during the Great Crusade, despite the fact that they're now Uber powerful daemon princes.

They also represent the grimdark victory of Chaos, though I think a fitting end to the story would be the disappearance of all Primarchs, loyalist and traitor alike.

I have a short window to post threads sometimes, plus if there is a lack of interest the threads will fade away anyway.

What about my thoughts? Are they things you think aren't worth thinking about?

Meh, if they are interesting topics and garner some discussion, why not?

Sure if they are another "can marines have sex?" or " Was the Emperor right?" thread its tedious but nothing wrong with some new topics.

agreed the DPs are very under-utilised in the current fluff. Logically, they should be able to wreck entire armies - since being blessed has undoubtedly improved their combat/survivability 10-fold.
I think GW is somewhat scared of "unleashing" them however, as it would mean a serious imbalance or likely the 14th Crusade......

Since they are daemons now, they are focusing more on the Great Game than the material universe itself.
Stirring gak in the materium is "mortal" chaos champions' (Typhus, Lucius, Ahriman, Kharn, Abaddon, etc.) job.

The main DP to get stuff done is Angron, but it really doesn't compare to what the primarchs did under the Great Crusade. Yet again, they had a wholly unified legion under their command, and weren't focused on the Game, because they are daemons.

Not really sure what the OP is actually asking here? Is it a question or a statement?

As far as I know the only Daemon Primarch who has demonstrated more power than before they ascended is Perturabo who manages to infect a Forgeworld called Toil with some Daemonic possession\virus thingy (so the machinery comes to life and kills everything). No one else has done anything un-Primarch-worthy. The Primarchs were always imbued with the Warp so becoming Daemonic may not have actually boosted their power. They are (kind of) immortal now but they also have more weaknesses. If anything from what I've read they seem less powerful now.

According to Realms of Chaos: the Lost and the Damned, the original Primarchs utilized "pure" Warp energy (ie non-Chaos) for their powers - psychic and otherwise. The Daemon Primarchs use Chaos energy in its stead, which isn't necessarily less or more powerful; merely different. It's sort of like switching from solar power plants to coal power plants; both have great capability to generate massive amounts of power, except that one pollutes in great amounts (Chaos) and the other doesn't ("pure").
Going by the Lost and the Damned, the Daemon Primarchs are neither more nor less powerful than standard ones, they are simply more mature and more knowledgeable in the use of their powers.

There was a story in the SM omnibus where a single kroot killed 2-3 marines then ate their gene seed and became a Kroot-startes.

We must all join the Kroot-startes...

GW nerfed the Daemon Primarchs otherwise there would be a major Chaos victory.

Thus, they are pretty useless. Also, for the HH story's sake, I think all Primarchs should have vanished.

What's your opinion?
