Arguleon Veq in Daemon World was able to shake off the influence of the Chaos Gods and then proceeded to flip them the bird with the annihilation of a daemon world.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Even the Daemon Primarchs can be redeemed.
They just need to worship a different Chaos god.
Like the Emperor.
I'm pretty sure that's what Lorgar is doing right now in his secluded citadel.

The Emperor is a warp god, not a Chaos god.

You are aware that once you are dedicated to a single chaos God, you cannot leave it.

The reason that the Black Legion was decimated after the Horus heresy was not because the loyalists killed the,, but because they let themselves get possessed by a single God, changed allegiance and then the previous God went. "Well feth you." And killed them.

Possessed were possessed by deamons, not just worshippers of chaos gods.

Well it was more of a reply to the daemon primarchs being redeemed.

Once a chaos God has your soul, it won't give it up. It would rather kill you first.

I imagine you could if you didn't have any mutations but once you do then well, you may turn loyalist but that tentacle growing out of your shoulder is still aligned with khorne.

Even without mutation you still owe your soul to the Gods

Cypher isn't a Chaos Space Marine.

Well I imagine if anybody would forgive the Daemon Primarchs, it would be the Emperor.
He did care for them in his own way, and he never hated any of them, more like a disappointed dad.
So would the Chaos God(s) be willing to undergo a DIRECT battle with the Warp God Emperor over that?
I mean no amount of demons is going to stop a literal god, so that's what it comes down too.
Someone of equal/greater power would need to fight him, and that could weaken the Chaos god significantly.
Which with the cut-throat nature of the Chaos pantheon, I'm not sure one of them could afford that.

- 10000+ pts
Imperial Knights- 5 Standard Knights / 3 Cerastus Knights
Officio Assassinorum - 4 Assassins
CSM - 500pts? Maybe? Its from the Officio Assassinorum box so I'm pretty sure its not enough to run in a CAD
Vampire Lords- I have no idea I bought it like two days before I left country and they're still in storage so I'll have to see when I get back.]
