Harebraines Schemes, the guys behind the latest Shadowrun games, are bringing classic Battletech to our computers!

Some really fun rewards in there and the game sounds great. With Harebrained Schemes at the wheel, you know you're guaranteed a quality product.

I've pledged for this one.
The shadowrun games are fantastic, so in really looking forward to seeing what they do with this franchise.
There are some promising names attached to the project so it should be done well.
I like the fact that it's set in 3025, leaving scope for future sequels.

Backed. I have nothing but confidence in HBS after their track record with the Shadowrun games. That Noble House Scion level is really tempting. I hope they make it to $1M for that single player campaign.

I am really, really torn. I love Battletech, and turn based Battletech videogames.... but Mechwarrior Tactics ghosting makes me feel like I should be cautious.

I doubt my caution will survive 34 days of awesome.

It's being made by a completely different team, one who has fulfilled 3 previous projects which all got great reviews.

No need to worry.

I... don't back video games on KS. I've seen too many horror stories and bad turn outs to really take that plunge.

But this is a turn-based BattleTech being designed by guy who made MechCommander: Mitch Gitelman.

I trust Mitch. Mitch loves us (very old reference, and also a cheat code in MechCommander!), and I beleive he will deliver.

Is this related to the Battletech game that was kind of a card system? Where you got different mechs and weapons on random cards? Because that thing was a fething disgrace.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

It isn't related to Mechwarrior Tactics in any way, shape or form. Which is good, because hot damn did those mechs get butchered hard in that game, and I would not wish that fate on any soul on the entire world.

Ah good news. Then I'm definitely interested in this, then.

That Tactics game was very gakky.

And seeing the dude behind Mechcommander involved is pretty encouraging.

In at the Noble House Scion pledge level.

Now the question is: Davion or Steiner?

Davion, obviously. I mean what are you, some kind of anti-Victor anti-FedCom traitor scum?

Look, if FedCom was an option, I'd take it.

I guess Davion's the answer, than. And who am I to argue with the side that's got Team Banzai working for them?

I'll be playing Steiner.

Davion is only the answer if the question is "Who am I shooting at?"

It's looking good so far.

Recent update showed the different physical rewards between the different houses, and a "Battletech" theme for those who don't want to pick a specific house.

And a different colored flight jacket:

Wife wants me to upgrade to the Davion Scion level, but I dunno, $100 seems like a lot for that stuff...

But then again, it is sweet, and only available via this KS...

Backed this.
Played every darn "proper" Battletech game on the PC.
Yes, that includes "Crescent Hawks Inception".
I mostly ban for myself pre-order or games in development.
BUT these guys have made so many things I enjoyed and got good value for the money.
Happy to give back to these guys, even if they run into "challenges".

There would have been a time I would have been excited to get all the cool banners and jacket... not so much now but it is nice to see.

The only house is Steiner.
