I think what hes trying to say is that the govt or some entity was using the weapon on the american people to achieve whatever end, and that it malfunctioned causing a nationwide catastrophic loss of life and property.

Nope. It was used against PanO forces on US soil, not against the American people.

Okay, so I got one detail wrong. My apologies.
The distinction I was making in any regards is that this is brand new information about what happened to America. This is the first mention we've had of PanOceania actually invading the US.
The implication before has always been that the country collapsed economically and that they were brought in/absorbed by the other nations. There has never been a mention of any kind of nanotech disaster until now.

The thought occurred to me that we will be getting more background info and world building with the RPG. Modiphius could very well tell us where Israel wound up.

I doubt it. CB seems to be letting them focus on what has come before and flesh it out more rather than let them expand on what hasn't been touched on.

Well modiphius said they got 1000s of pages of background and spent close to a hundred hours talking about background of the game with CB so you never know.

It's been made abundantly clear at the seminar in Vigo that the RPG will expand the background a lot, mostly focusing on the non-military aspects of life in Infinity

Not everyone read/saw the seminar--and what's more, not everyone cares enough to follow the RPG beyond seeing the miniatures.

Yup, I read it in the post by modiphius on the subject. If I didn't care about the RPG at all to lrean anything about it I wouldn't post as if I did .

If you don't care about the RPG outside of the miniatures, then it's hard to get any message across because you're simply not going to listen.
Modiphius have been saying since the announcment however that it would be largely focusing on what the skirmish game does not focus on with the background. No real need to try to dodge the fact that you were wrong. Sometimes it's fine to just admit it.

I just asked them on the KS comments if we'll get more info about specific countries' fates or possibly see a world map showing who wound up with what factions. Their response was "we'll see" and that the faction books will look into that level of depth.

And I do freely admit it when I am.
But I do not care about the RPG. I feel like it's a moneygrab. I also feel like if CB weren't giving them exclusive miniatures that this Kickstarter would not have been faring nearly as well as it has been, given the number of people who have posted statements to the effect of "I only want the models".

That's fine.
But you stated that Modiphius wouldn't do something, were informed that they in fact would, then shifted the topic to where they talk about such things and general interest in the product, which has nothing to do with your initial statement which was incorrect.
You're shufting goalposts to try and fund something to be correct about.

It's also disproved by even glancing at the pledge numbers.
Faction Fanatic and Miniatures Master pledges (the ones that let you get the miniatures without buying into the RPG system*), combined = 98.
PDF Rulebook pledges 60.
Physical rulebook pledges 218.
PDF master pledges 261.
Print & PDF pledges 702.
Generous GM pledges 90.
Collector's Edition pledges 205.
All the books print & PDF pledges 154.
The mini-related pledges make up less than 5% of the pledges by number and potentially as low as 1.5% of the pledges by value.
*EDIT one lets you buy just a faction book and related mini, the other gets you just the minis and nothing else.

Just a look at a couple of the book descriptions tells you it's not standard infinity content. For example, the Haqqislam book:
Expanded life path options for Hassassins, Merchant Guilds and Silk Lords, plus all the rules you need for a corsairs campaign.
Other than Hassassin and a couple of random pirate units, that's stuff that's only briefly mentioned in the fluff, and if they didn't add Hassassins there would probably been a ton of complaints.

Again, I haven't even done that.
I'm GLAD to know that it's not standard Infinity content.
I'm GLAD that people who are interested will be able to get that kind of stuff.

And that the point you gave bad info get corrected then try to change the subject or just get rude. Just suck it up and move on, man. People make mistakes, no need to defend the mistake.

You might feel differently had you looked at the other stuff Modiphius is doing, like the Mutant Chronicles RPG, Achtung Cthulhu!, Dust or Conan.
Anechdotal evidence: Many of the people I know that has backed this KS also backed MC3 and/or AC! (I backed MC3 myself, for example) and are very pleased with the outcomes. Modiphius is a company that I din't feel any kind of trepidation backing, because they have shown they do good stuff in a timely manner, and provide good communication in the meantime.
Another thing I've seen is people that like both minis and rpgs being very interested in it. Because it's Infinity, yes, but because it's an Infinity RPG. You know, what says in the tin.
IMHO, your opinion on the matter is distorting heavily your view on the project. OTOH, I like the minis and probably end up picking some, but I'm in for the "All the PDFs" pledge.

Only the feeling that CB should focus on something else than inserting factions based on contemporary nations into Infinity. Nothing about Israel, I just think that ship has sailed. The only reason why I didn't grumble against USAriadna was because it had to be done to complete the established setting.
Given enough time to flesh out more the existing factions and exploring what can be done with the setting, then yes, it would make a lot of sense to make a NuIsrael. But how? As a (post)modern faction, there wouldn't be much in the way of aesthetics to transfer from our current timeline to Infinity's.
On another note, is Infinity popular in Israel? Are wargames big there? That might be a factor here. I chose MRRF as a primary sectorial because of my ascendance, I'm sure I'm not the only one making faction decisions that way.

Categorically no. I spent a few years in Israel and never came across a dedicated gaming store, or even a comic book store.

When they live surrounded by war every day (and people who just want them dead) there's no need to "play" at being soldier.
Besides, most of them will do it for real unless they have an exemption on religious grounds.
