Can a walker Change his direction when he runs?

Yes. Vehicles may pivot in any way during a move. As such, when the Walker runs, the very first part of movement can be to change its orientation in any direction, or it could do so at the end of the move, or anywhere inbetween as many times as the player moving it wishes.

With the caveat that no part of its base (or hull if it doesn't have a base) can be more than the maximum move range from where it started. This really only impacts models with no base or non-circular bases.

A dreadnought on a 60mm circular base can effectively free rotate at any point during a move (or run or charge or whatever). A Rhino isn't perfectly round and would have to make sure it doesn't accidentally gain distance by free rotating.

Rhinos don't turboboost. You mean flat out?

There's nothing restricting a vehicle moving flat out from turning, pivoting or otherwise changing its direction.

Or from just moving sideways, for that matter... Although people generally assume that vehicles are supposed to only move forwards or backwards...

Not that how a standard Vehicle moves has anything to do with how a Walker moves. Walkers move like Infantry, and run as well. They are closer to a Space Marine or a Carnifex in this case than a Rhino.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

Yes I meant flat out, sorry in german its ´´Vollgas geben´´
In the german rules its said that the walker or vehicle when it runs or flat outs, can move INSTANTLY for so and so inches.
We interpretated this INSTANT or in german ´´sofort´´, that you move straight forward, without being able to change the direction of the walker or vehicle.
