Subject: Simple tweaks for your army.

Everybody has something about their preferred codex that they wish to see changed. Sometimes it's big, sometimes it's not. Personally, there's two minute changes that I would absolutely kill to see. The codex in question is the Imperial Miliatrium/ Astra Guard. If I could change anything I could right away it'd be:
1) to increase the Lasgun ap to 6! This is a MUST!
2) Tempestus Scions HAVE to have a ws of 4.
I'll explain why I think these changes need to happen soon because I need to go somewhere. But what does everybody think? And add your own suggestions too! I want to hear what changes people would make to their army to make it better or worse or to simply fit the fluff. So their scions are the proficient, deadly fighters they're supposed to be, or to show how Lasguns are supposed to be simply better than typical ballistic weapons, (as atm, they slave identicle stats.)

I agree with you, warlocks should be ld9. And rangers also should have pinning. As for the models, are you kidding me? None of those are in plastic yet? O_o

Grey Knight drednoughts can take psycannons or at least a heavy psycannon. Puragtion squads get some kind of weapon that has longer range than 24" or they get suspension webs so they can move and fire. Right now they are less than worthless.

Why Ap6 lasguns? It does sod all to help them.
My two, for AM:
-All infantry get a base +1 to cover, leaving them at a minimum of 6+ cover at all times.
- LRBT gain Lumbering Behemoth

Codex Orks
1. Nob size and bigger models add +1 leadership to the unit. Leadership above 10 gives fearless. (Call it Nob Rule)
2. All Ork vehicles gain the Ramshackle rule. Ramshackle gives a +1 to Invulnerable saves (6+ if they don't have a save). Trukks have the Extremely Ramshackle rule which gives +2 instead (5+ if they don't have any other invuln save)
3. Cybork gives 5+ invulnerable save.
4. KFF on a Big Mek has a 9" coverage radius when outside a vehicle, 6" coverage from inside a vehicle.

- change mob rule to previous
- move killa kanz to elite
- KFF to old rules w 5++
- SAG rolls 10, 11, 12 = Str D
- allow "looted vehicles"
"Loot" Special Rule:
- ANY vehicle may be looted at identical point costs with the following changes:
-Ballistic Skill = 2
-Weapon Skill = 3
-Transport Capacity = same
-Armor = -1 on all facings
-Hull Points = - 1
-Vehicle Special Rules = like PotMS, Living Metal, Holo Fields or whatever no longer apply. This would render some vehicles (drop pods) as unusable.
-Weapons = Full Loadout as per points
-Special Wargear = Black sun Filters, Vector Tracker etc may not be purchased.
-Looted Vehicles fall into the same battlefield role that they previously filled. They may never be taken as a dedicated transport.
-All looted vehicles must be accompanied by a Mek or big Mek. The Mek must either be embarked or riding on the vehicle or considered to be piloting the vehicle. This translates into a 15 - 35 point tax. However, the Mek or big Mek, may be upgraded as normal. The Mek may not disembark or jump off and is removed from play when the looted vehicle is destroyed. Note if the vehicle is not a transport, the Mek may not fire a weapon independently - like firing a shot attak gun from a storm talon. But a KFF or MFF could be taken. These standard ork upgrades may be taken as well: RPJ (5pts); Riggers (20pts);
Maybe add a "Monsterous Creature Rustler" Rule.... (Discuss)

Any Sgt model being able to purchase an auspex.
Sternguard with bs5, vanguard with ws5
Tactical Marines having the ability to purchase each of the different variants of Sternguard ammo for 3ppm per type.

For me I would make the IH machine Empathy apply to all non-transport vehicles.
That would be the quick fix. Ideally I would make them more like they originally were, or maybe do something like allow the replacement of a special weapon or heavy weapon marine with a techmarine.
maybe allow an extra hq slot but require 2 hqs.
maybe space wolf type setup to allow terminator sergeants. So many things could be done to make them fluffier and their rules not crap. While the buff to fnp is okay it is hardly that big of a deal. In a pure IH army it literally only buffs units getting a better fnp from somewhere else and is really only advantageous on multi wound models with high toughness good armor saves and an invulnerable save. At least imo.

For Tau: Railguns, Heavy Rail Rifles and Rail Rifles gain Lance.
For Eldar: Brightlances become AP1. Windriders drop to 4+ armor saves, heavy weapons become 1 in 3.
For Dark Eldar: Raiders and Venoms always count has having moved no faster than Combat Speed, so you can move 12" and still disembark or shoot at full BS. Dark lances become S9, Void lances become S10. Flickerfields, Night Shields back to the way they used to be, including being able to take Flickerfields on Ravagers, Raiders, Razorwings and Voidravens.
For Adepta Sororitas: Give Celestians storm bolters (and increase their cost per model by 1 - they're slightly overcosted as it stands), and the option to buy an extra chainsword for 1ppm like Grey Hunters. Let me buy a Jump Pack for my Canoness, and take a Veteran Seraphim Superior. Maybe power axes/mauls for Seraphim Superior, too?

Just delete outright. At this point, it'd be a mercy. Its become pretty clear that GW doesn't want to do a line overhaul on them, and if they don't, CSM will just become increasingly useless and boring to look at.
