I play Kdk and got a deal on a used BT a little while back and after playing a few games with him I'm about ready to sell it. I don't see it doing much a prince can not already do. I can give the prince the options I want to control his points. And even though the thirster is a cool model the prince is a lot easier to transport ( thirster takes up so much space in my p.a.c.k)
Someone tell me why I'm wrong and talk me out of selling my bloodthirster .........thanks for your input.

Fire magnet. You can place pretty much anything on the table and people will always try and kill a bloodthirster of insenteate rage.

People know that if they let it live, a thirster of unfettered fury will kill anything it touches. Deathstars, super characters. Nothing is safe.

They make a great bullet sponge for your bikes, hounds, berserkers and terminators that are going to be doing the brunt of the killing.

He is a win/win scenario model. He gets shot up, and those shots arent going at your other stuff. They ignore him, and he butchers anything else in their whole army.

I don't rate BTs at all in a KDK list either. They are too expensive in an MSU list (which is suited to the codex), are nowhere near resilient enough and can be killed too easily early on. Yes, there is the argument that they can act as a bullet magnet which is true to some extent but that magnet just doesn't survive long enough for its points cost. It can easily be focused down in one turn and once it's gone, it's gone. You're better off taking more of the smaller units in the first place for target saturation and more Blood Tithe when they die.

If you take them in a Daemons list though this is another matter entirely. Here you can give them greater rewards for survivability, you can use the Grimoire to boost their inv save and also buff them with psychic powers (Cursed Earth, Invisibility etc.) Then they can function as a real bullet magnet.
