Thanks for the ideas guys!

I think I found the inspiration for my ships too. The Alexander von Humboldt:

Oh definitely! The green would look lovely with the golden brass.

(The color scheme reminds me of King K.Rool too.

Someone needs to follow his footsteps and make a huge castle for their pirating airships.)

Green and Brass always looks Class, oh aye.

And I think that there might just be, possibly, my next Armies on Parade display....
Goblin Town wood bits + Leftover Skaven wood bits + Sector Mech' stack.

Real nice that the Thunderer kit comes with 10 guns, although only 5 flints for the 6 Aethershot rifles...

This is getting out of hand! I've pained three more of them! The one on the right needs a little more work on his pistol, but other than that he is complete. I'm at odds on what to do for basing, I would like to something exotic to give reason to their needs of suits, but anything bright and lively may detract away from the model itself.

Those are some seriously good minis. Thanks for sharing!

Nice work on those undead, good blending. I like the blue skulls on the necromancer. It would be cool to see a mortarch with the interior skulls like that.

No honorifics?! That's a grudgin'

But yes you are correct! I enjoy their D3 Grudge ability very much!

@ Elmir

Wow I love the blue on the skeletons are they double based? Whats with the weird trim?

My Great Unclean One is built and his arms magnetised.
The base is ready, just need to fill in some gaps, then I can prime and basecoat it before adding sand all over the stairs.

That's a step up from the average base.

It's an MDF movement tray.

That zombie horde looks amazing. Exactly how I imagine a shambling horde of Zombies. (Awesome job on the characters, too!)

That would be the movement trays. The edges of them are made to match the bases and some of the rocks deliberately hang over the base lips so it's less obvious that there's a movement tray there (although the double height is a dead give-away ofc.

Hard to follow such lovely smooth work.

I started on my Stardrake's mouth last night:

Can't wait to work on the rest of the face, accentuating the scars, oh and the horns. So many options for the horns!

Getting to work on these lads:

Nicer to do than the resin jezzailers, and cheaper too.
And I got the Skryrwardens back home for a tidy photoshoot.

Close up of the Deathcrow:

Got another 3 Skryrwardens to do up now, having gotten the SC box, although the 20odd hours the first 3 took is a bit daunting to match.

It's quite simple, but it did require an airbrush.

Base of GW baharoth blue (edge paint)

Zenithal airbrush layer of pure white

A layer of thinned down Guilliman blue (roughly 50/50 with lahmian medium)

A final highlight with pure white to bring back shard highlights if needed.

Its typical isn't it?

When your nearing the end of your project, you see something and decide to alter your list! -With less than 2 months to go!

Can anyone tell whats newly added?

A little close up. I also converted a Celestant on foot to a Castellant to get more variety.

Back again!

My main objective was to get my new additions up and running. Or at least to the same stages as the rest of the army.

I also focused on bringing my Hero's up to a better standard. Including a small conversion to a Celestant, to a Castellant. Debating swapping the sword out for a halberd to make it more obvious.

Thanks,

Looking good! But what really caught my eye was that teal/jade effect on the bases.
