A guy in the USA has created a replica of Thor's hammer, Mjölnir using a powerful electromagnet. Pretty awesome stuff!

Pretty easily, actually. Magnets have rather awful shear strength, usually. Thus why he keeps asking people to lift it straight up, and the kid who said they got it to move a bit.

Two things that would make this harder:

One, where to hide the thumbprint scanner.
Two, the magnets are not as good at lateral force, so even if the sword was stuck between a pair, it still might be able to be slid out.

But it should be doable.

Disney land does it. But im not sure how. i doesnt use magnets, but a switchs.

Probably something that pinches the blade so friction stops it from sliding out.
