Maybe GW will surprise us and make good looking sisters models wearing realistic armor without the overt sexism.

This could even attract women to the game, which would mean more models sold, and more profits for GW....

Oh. Wait.

I'm sure they'd find a way to add a definite Sisters Aesthetic to termies.
It's more likely, as other have said, Sisters are hella neglected. They epitomise hope and despair.

Basically yes.

Terminator armor for humans basically has to be hand crafted and specially made for that person, as the vast majority of TDA is made for Space Marines. So you'd need a suit designed for a normal human, it would have to be tailor made for a specific human, etc... All this would make it obscenely expensive to build.

The same applies to Power Armor too, but that is at least within the budget of the Ecclesiarchy.

lol that's pretty funny. So they can be canonized as saints but lack the clout to get custom made armor because it is too expensive XD

On the other hand, the original suits for reactor maintenance were made for humans. If someone with money (like the Ecclesiarchy) talked to someone who knows the tech (the AdMech) it would probably be quite easy to crank out a standardized TDA for normal humans. The real problem is finding the supply and manufacturing lines for it - what little there is is already being used for Space Marines, and without a very good reason for needing the stuff the SoB aren't getting access. They usually don't need it so they're not getting it. Hell, many SM Chapters don't have enough for their First Company!

Its a misnomer that non-Astartes can't use TDA, or can't get TDA, or need specially made TDA. TDA is a weaponized version of a common armored suit used for reactor maintenance. All Astartes TDA has to be hand crafted to fit Astartes, while regular suits are produced as need fir every ship commissioned.

If GW wanted Sisters in TDA, there would no issues in the gluff to require retconning. If fact, Sisters would find it easier to access than Astartes, as the common suit is readily available to order rather than requiring custom msnufacturing.

Has nothing to do with it.

Its because the Ecclesiarchy isn't that wealthy. They can afford power armor for everyone because that is relatively easy to acquire in human sizes, but TDA would be way too much for them. Only Inquisitors really have the clout to get their own personal suits, which will be custom made for them. Marines get the other few suits that are produced.

Why wouldn't they have money the vatican in "ancient" was one of the most wealthy organisations and even in 40K they will have TV-preachers.

But it is probably more to do with that the SOB would be just a marine army with lower toughness

The Ecclesiarchy has more than enough money to equip each Sister with their own Titan, if they wanted to, and still have more than enough to not even notice the the expense. Unfortunately for the Sisters, the Ecclesiarchy is human and therefore greedy and fearful. Wealth is power, and any ecclesiarch with power will know exactly how far his wealthy will buy projection from a Sister's Boltgun. Which is to say, not much.

This is why Sisters have the best equipment money can buy in bulk, with all of that equipment more iconic that individully threatening. Sisters are Guard with Marine equipment, after all. The last thing a corrupt holyman wants is a cadre of Sister TDA busting down his gold plated ceramite door. Sisters aren't just guards, they are also the church's police.

They don't own any.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Cool pic

There is zero fluff to actually stop the Sororitas using Terminator Amour except for the fact that they never have....

Given the recent retcons for total crap like Centurions it would be easy for GW to make Terminator Models for the Orders and say they always had them - but GW has not done anything with them since the cool burst of (much welcomed) activity for Shield of Baal - and even then there was no rules :(

Yeah, the Ecclesiarchy is arguably the richest (although that could go to ad-mech), and most influential (amongst the people of the imperium) organisation in the imperium.

I think a similar question that would need to be answered first, is why only Ordo Malleus Inquisitors can have Terminator armor? I imagine Ordo Hereticus or Xenos Inquisitors would be able to acquisition it before SoB could. Whatever keeps them from having it is a higher hurdle for SoB to have it.

Ordo Malleus Inquistors having access to TDA is a throw back to Inquisitor Drako, and his off-hand comment that he had a suit of plasma reactor maintenance exo-armor for those times he needed a little extra protection. The Psycannon commons from the Inquistor game, where there is a faction of Malleus Inquisitors armed with Psycannon. Matching the two up goes back the Daemonhunter's codex.

My take on it is that The adepta seroritas don't seem to have a type of relationships with forge worlds and techpriest that Imperial guards and space marines do.

I've read many books where techpriests hang around vehicle oriented guard forces and they seem to have a slight bromance with space marines... techmarines kof kof...

Seems like even fluff wise sisters don't have terminator armor. But if they don't have terminator armor they could possibly get artificer armor? Also grants a 2+ save just no invulnarable saves. Only one I can think of that has some sort of artificer armor is saint celestine.

No SoB do have power armour, it just lacks some of the extra features, mainly due to them lacking a black carapace...

I would assume it's because the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Ecclesiarchy doesn't really get along, and while the Ad Mech are willing to pump out power armour for them, they aren't willing to cut people who step on their toes in on something as ancient and revered as Terminator Armour.

And, y'know, because no model for it, etc.

Marines have terminator armour for tunnel fighting and Hulk cleansing. That kind of thing has never really been discussed as part if standard Sister doctrine or use so superheavy Sister armour has never materialised. They get stupid stuff like naked Repentia and people getting crucified to giant shoot me targets.

Penitent Engines aren't really Sororitas units - they fall into the same category as Battle Conclaves / Arco-Flagellants / Priests.

That said, Sisters do tunnels a lot more often than Marines do, and better, because their smaller power armour can fit through the corridors better - and, in fact, the tunnel fighting environment mitigates their biggest disadvantage (the lack of plasma and grav weapons).
