So I made this last night for a Wraithknight commission. Do you like it?

That looks awesome, although I think it would look better if the track wasn't intact given how knackered it is. Otherwise good work

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

It's certainly well painted and weathered, but conceptually I'm sort of lost. Why does it look like it's emerging up through the ground like some sort of mole-man assault vehicle?

haha.. its just an old wreck that has had a building collapse around it.. maybe its huge gun rocked the building it was next to it and it fell .. you could make anything up really

It's like the Space Marine version of the Kool-aid guy.

It's a nice base. It really encapsulates the real Vindicator experience.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Love it but a Wraithknight on it is going to look silly, I would just leave it as is and use it as a terrain piece.

Thanks man! I used a sponge to dab on dark grey and typhus corrosion and ryza rust. i used some sepia wash for the streaks. for the rusted metals (like the barrel) i painted them leadbelcher then typhus corrosion and drybrushed ryza rust.. i think i may have drybrushed a bit of runefang steel after that.
last thing i covered the model in a dark rust pigment mixed with water over the whole model and base to make the dust

cheers!
