I can't, I just can't take it seriously. I would love to use one, but not looking like that. But what set of arms gw makes would even fit that, let alone have enough room for missles. Heck I am even willing to look at gundam kits and slap some arms on it. Any suggestions?

It's the latest and greatest from GW's Tonka Truck school of art direction and model design. Maybe some third party manufacturers will step up and make replacement arms?

My best guess, plunder a Riptide or Ghostkeel. Also, supremacy armour has arm options.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

Has anyone seen a size comparison of the two. Being able to proxy the supremacy as a storm surge would be awesome.

In the warp, searching for Marbo

If I had the parts, I'd turn it into a Quadruped, and give it Baneblade cannon arms. Of course, I played to much Armored Core back in the day...

After all these years of searching for Marbo...he found me. Heretics beware! He's back!

My brother cannibalised the other gun option's parts with a sprue skeleton and some plasticard. Put the giant missile pods on as "hands", stood it up straighter so it isn't pooping, and it just looks like a giant suit.

Doesn't stop me wanting to take it outside and run it over with my car while crying bitter tears at GW's cruel updating schedule, but it does look nice.

Pretty sure the Supremacy is noticeably larger.

Why does it need arms? What purpose would they serve?

To make it look good, instead of something you could ram a motorcycle into the ankle of and watch it fall and flail around helplessly like ed-209 after falling down stairs.

Curious if you could show some pics, interested to see what it looks like.

Most likely, I'll see if he's taken any sometime. It still looks a bit... tubby... but it's a significant improvement.

Indegogo campaign.

For just $10 you can help these poor combat suits not look like giant boxes on legs. Your $10 will go directly to the Tau Empire for the Greater Good of making the necessary components to put arms on Stormsurges.

For an additional $5 you can also give arms back to Abbadon. This poor, beleaguered Warmaster has been struggling for 13 Black Crusades with out any arms to fight with.

Please help out the armless. Because without arms, how are they supposed to Hit in close combat?

(feel free to make a better campaign write up)

id check out the battletech marauder model and consider making the gun arms into missile arms.

Because no war machine, no matter it's intended purpose, should be denied the ability to punch it's enemy in the face if given the opportunity to do so. It is an Imperial thought process that my Tau have learned from my old marine dreadnoughts core. If we could strap a punching arm to an Abrams tank we would do it. Cuz 'Murica. So your dank right I'm giving the storm surge arms... And a laser sword

This is Tau, they do not engage in honorable melee combat.

But I second the riptide Idea. Put the missiles up as shoulders, then use arm mounts for the other guns.
Basically look at this.

As for how it would get up if you knocked it over, its legs would probably be flexible enough to stand it back up or those little support legs aren't only just for support.

It's a Metal Gear guys.

The question shouldn't be "How do I give it arms", it should be "How do I extend the cockpit into a snout to complete the image?"

That actually would be cool solution. I'm personally not bothered by lack of arms, I guess I've played a lot of mech games in my day. But letting it carry the big gun and putting the rockets on its shoulder like the picture above would be cool. Pretty much a giant broadside then.
