Has anyone heard of the Citadel Vault (mentioned on the Limited Edition Mont'Ka page) before? I remember they used that name in articles about other limited editions too. Is it a subdivision of GW?

All of their recent limited editions have had "Citadel Vault" listed on them.

It would look REALLY weird because of the "half-flayed/half-Powered Armor" look.

Yeah I have part one and no mention but sure someone was saying they were in part two - ah well.

I hope the Assassins actually prove to be effective! Are the Blood Angels confirmed as they are pretty busy in Shield of Baal

There is a mention. It's at the very end.

Fluffwise? The Assassins will probably be butchered, cause y'know...plot armor for Tau is as impenetrable as the Death Star.

No Blood Angels - based on what was leaked. Maybe they and the sisters are part of the missions or the fluff. But according to the ~6 WD pages no new rules for both of them in Mont'Ka and no involvement :(

Just picked up the book - is that p106 as that's referring to the "Greater warzones" in the Eastern Fringe with only a specific battlegroup assigned to punishing the Tau?

Page 102 of Kauyon's "fluff" book.

"The Titan Awakened"

Exact quote?
Countless regiments of Astra Militarum, orders of Adepta Sororitas, and macro-level war cohorts from the Adeptus Mechanicus were inbound, slowly but unstoppably, to the greater war zone.

Thanks Got it - But isn't the full quote:

Referring to the recent planet lost to the Tau: "Ultimately, though the Imperium considered that world of little strategic value. There were far more important targets in the Eastern Fringe, targets to which warfleets had already been dispatched via the fickle tides of the warp.

then the above bit

and then "As for the battlegroup assigned to reclamation of the worlds recently taken..............."

Although if the pic on that page is accurate depiction of the fleet sent - the Tau are ALL going to be dead as that's maybe a hundred or more Capital warships!

It's referring to Damocles as a whole, from what I can tell.

There's a HUGE battlegroup incoming. Parts of it will be punishing the Tau for the death of the Raven Guard's Chapter Master and parts of it will be reclaiming those worlds lost to the Tau.

At least that's what I got from the blurb.

The next WD issue is not about Black Templars or Helbrecht. Confusion comes from the German translation in WD. I checked the Black Library page and it is Archaon who is called Grand Marshal. There is no difference in german between Grand and High Marshal.

Could this be the call of the dark lord, the fabled Grand Marshal of the Apocalypse himself? The call of Archaon?

No Nids. It will be the new Archaon model. Or at least the start of the Age of Sigmar Chaos releases.

Oh boy! I hope these datasheets for the IoM superheavies bring them in line with all the 7th ed gargantuans and superheavies. Just think about it, reasonably (comparatively) priced baneblades!

Would be cool if they released those AM formations in an ebook format. TAU and this fluff is of no importance to me :(

Someone over on B&C posted this up regarding The Eight:

Unbreakable bonds of centralship - models from this formation can provide Supporting fire to a unit engaging any model from this formation if they are within 24 inch of each other Rather then 6 inch.

Imputing leaders - as long as at least one model from this formation is still alive and on the battlefield all friendly units with the tau empire faction have stubborn special rule.

Normal translation issues apply.

Should just be a collection of stories about IG, they did the same thing for the Raven guard and Tau.

Interesting! That 24" Supporting Fire is a godsend for spread-out Battlesuit teams.

Heh.

Not really, seeing as how RAW? It only applies to the models from the formation.

Why not? I wouldn't put it past them to squat a popular army immediately after releasing new books and tons of models. There's precedent, they've done it to entire game systems before. This could be End Times 40k: Tau Edition

Alternatively this could be just another step in setting up every faction at one-minute-to-midnight. Can't have anybody doing well on New Year's Eve 999.M41.

Eh, at most they'll be pushed back to 2nd sphere levels. GW's stupid, but not that stupid. Such a massive loss in sales it not something they want.
