I'm already starting to see plenty of situations, especially on thread titles, where I don't know if people mean Forge World Horus Heresy or Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth. With such an obvious solution available, why can't we just call the boxed game "Betrayal at Calth" instead of just Horus Heresy? It'll make life so much easier.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

I'm not sure why we need the distinction? What about people who are using the boxed set to get into the 30k HH Forgeworld game?

Is anyone even going to discuss the rules for he B@C board game? I didn't see anything much for the Execution Force game, which was I'd guess mostly bought for the models. Like B@C will be?

What about people? We call Dark Vengeance, DV don't we? If we don't distinguish someone is gonna get burned. Don't get lazy over a short acronym BaC.

Discussions for the board game would probably be better placed in the Board Games forum, or perhaps the GW Specialist & Unsupported Games forum.

As Quanar mention, I doubt to many people are gonna be interested in discussing the board game, tbh.

Forgeworld is a testing ground for GW proper, so the new GW box set is probably going to become the "official" HH eventually. Remember, many things we have in 40k now all started out in FW before GW incorporated them.

I just hope this doesn't start a downslide for 40k. 40ks Age of Sigmar, if you will.

Probably because hardly anyone cares about the new game and just wants the new models for 30k/40k.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Pretty much this. The game is a bonus. The models are what people are after.

Board games are boring if you ask me.
I'm just using the models for my 30k army. Just curious about the models.

That's why I ordered the box. I have my own chapter of SM so 30k isn't really an option for me but those models are great! I had almost included them in my last FW purchase, glad I didn't!

Yeah, I of course don't begrudge anyone's interest in the board game, I just don't think alot of people are going to purchase this box for that purpose primarily. Sorta like I don't know anyone who plays Space Hulk, but I know several people who have the Blood Angels and/or Tyranid models that came with that game in their 40k armies.
