With the ITC ruling that [b]all Iron Hands vehicles benefit from Machine Empathy (5+ IWND), plus a servo-harnessed Techmarine aboard (3+ BOTO), these Stormravens will provide massive problems. The reason I gave both of the Sternguard squads a mix of weapons (in additional to their variety of Special Issue Ammo) is because I wanted them to reflect the Techmarines, who themselves have a wide array of weaponry (flamer, plasma cutter, 2 servo-arms, power axe). If the Stormravens are taking too much damage, the Techmarines stay aboard while the jack-of-all-trade Sternguard and anti-horde/anti-vehicle Ironclads deal with whatever is there. If extra help is needed on the ground, the Techmarines can disembark with the Sternguard and are solid everywhere, even restoring the Ironclad HPs (5+ IWND, 3+ BOTO) mid-combat. Plus, the 2 Techmarines each give +1 cover to a chosen terrain piece, meaning the camo-cloaked Scout snipers in the back could potentially get 2+ cover while picking off targets. Hell, the Sternguard can be in that cover too. The 4 Stormtalons can clean up the rest, and fly away from range to repair HP if needed.
With so much airborne target saturation, plus the difficulty of actually hitting them, plus the fact that they can regenerate HPs (possibly 2 for Stormravens), plus the overall ability to pick up and deploy units to get far-off objectives, I think this list could do really well against anything.
Tell me what you think!

I like the theme behind it and believe it could look fantastic on the table. I am not overly familiar with the formations, however. Do they have the chance to arrive on Turn 1? If not, do you only have 2 Scout squads that are on the table on turn 1? That seems quite risky.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

Where is the hyperlink for this ruling?

decent list and will be really thematic but with only 2 scout quads on the table it really wont be hard for the enemy to table you T1. All it would take is a couple of Wyverns, Tau SMS missiles or anything else that ignores LoS/Cover.

Neat list, basically a null-deployment with flyers.
The main thing you'll have to watch out for is opponents with easy access to Ignores Cover. A couple of riptides with markerlight support could end the match in a hurry if they wipe out your scouts on turn 1. That will be meta-dependent - if you play with a lot of LOS-blocking terrain, you can make it work.

Agree with all above statements. You have good target saturation. I question not specializing the Sternguard but if it's a fluff choice so be it I suppose. What I would look out for is the tau optimized stealth cadre. Hitting your rear armor with ignores cover, skyfire, and split fire will really do a number on your airforce, and nothing you have ignores cover so they would survive a good while. I guess you hope to tie them up in melee and with the mobility of stormravens you could do it I suppose.

This. Its GG turn 1 when they do a missle deployment and a stealth cadre. They infiltrate, move 12" and gun you to death.

Looks like the ITC ruled on this. Captains can't upgrade to Chapter Masters in the Demi-Company as well. Weird.
