Shattered Legions for the proverbial win! Why play one Legion when you can play (the broken, beaten, bloody and thoroughly pasted remains of) three?

Only problem is that I'm going to need to figure out how to make black and white Raven Guard not look like black and silver Iron Hands...

I'd go with Iron Warriors because I've always liked the look of them and I have some mechanicum models which would work well for allies (more from a fluff standpoint in my mind).

Alpha Legion for sure.

I think I'd go with Ultramarines, the classical Greek looks works great for the Heresy period to me.

I'm going to try Deathguard... If the white doesn't turn out I'm going to do dark Angels to go with my black based DA scheme anyway

I will be doing Imperial Fists. I haven't decided on the size of the army though. The box set is a nice start but I want some other units and the prices are my biggest problem so far. If GW comes out with plastic MK3 Breachers I will be happy, but as of now I think $200 is a bit steep for a 20 man squad. I also want some of the Imperial Fist sword brethren but I wish I didn't have to buy the armour and the upgrade kit just to waste most of the basic marines torsos, heads and arms... That's about $30 wasted for each kit. They really need to sell special units as a whole kit or just sell individual parts like legs separate.

Blood Angels here. I love their aesthetic and I can mix in bits from the 40k range sparingly to make the 30k look even more awesome.

Looking forward to getting one of these boxes soon, fingers crossed.

This surprises me since 30 Marines would do a World Eater army some good. Some clips and the Maul becomes a brutally hook spiked flail, and Terminators are always a plus. Cataphractii maybe not so much but still, it makes a solid tactical core.

But I'm still going Ultramarines.

being exclusively a painter, i think i will cheat, and do one of each Legion...
all the leftovers will be Space Puppies, which got my vote, because they have been my favorite since the RT days...

I picked Blood Angels, just because I'm doing them first. Eventually, I think I will get around to building some Death Guard -- I already have the FW shoulders -- as well as some of the other legions.

@jah - The plastic bits are just awesome. You won't be disappointed! The book is really nice too.

I've got a couple of 30k units, but could never decide on a legion for whatever reason. Got Calth yesterday. I've always wanted a Crimson fist army, so I'm going to do them as initial 2nd founding. Could still be used in hh games as tail end of the scouring. Might buy a second box and work towards a full company. Actually, with a third box, could kit bash assault troops and devs. Hmmm...

Basically, they are what the chaos codex should be.

I've already got a bunch of forgeworld vehicles painted for my Iron Warriors so adding in mk 4 armored marines will allow me to plat the most models in both settings.

I got them to bulk up my ultramarines so I can either be lazy and just go ultras or go emperor's champions for those pheonix terminators and palatine blades.

Should I get a copy, I'm doing the "Ultramarine" part of the set as reinforcements for my 40K Iron Warriors, and I'll be doing the rest of them as Alpha Legion.

Leaning heavily towards Alpha Legion

Already have a decent start on my Salamanders Chapter for 40k, might as well transition them into a Legion. Got the Primarch Vulkan as well (bad ass model!)
