You're not sanding them out without ruining detail.

But you can green-stuff them. I wouldn't though, as they'll look really good painted up to look a bit different to the main flesh.

Skull acne does not look good no matter what colour it is.

There's this wonderful thing called an "opinion".

Your statement reflects your opinion, not mine. There's a reason why I phrased my statement the way I did, wording it in such a way that it SHOULD be clear that I'm putting forth my opinion.

It's not that difficult to cover them with greenstuff, anyway. Like beginners level.

Covering them is easy, getting the green stuff to blend in correctly with the surrounding area is not as easy.

Covering them might be easy, the fact you have to do it means you're trying to fix an insanely expensive model and are probably rethinking your purchase as you stand in store with him in one hand, GS in the other...

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

It's not a massive fix though. I normally agree with the whole 'if you have to convert an expensive model it's probably not worth it' but it's not as if you're having to completely repose it to do that or anything. It's a pretty small detail to change. I think it would be pretty easy, they're mostly either on smooth skin or areas where you can follow the lines of existing detail.

No clear art direction? What did you expect, neoclassic undertones? It's the Chaos Everchosen, and I don't see anything not Chaos on him. A huge, imposing, mutated daemon-chimera and a badass Chaos Lord who has transcended humanity.

Seriously, I don't know which were you expectations for it.

What do you mean?

As for direction I think its quite clear mate...

HUGE plastic kits, cheesy in your face composition, loads of skulls.
Archaon is all of that and more because the design is sick on this one.

Ehm...the previous model?

The Chimera itself has scales on scales, Archaon has skulls on skulls on skulls, hair on the horns on the helmet, a completely cluttered shield and a tiny head. That isn't good design. That's "How much stuff can we glue on one model?" policy...and that isn't good. Chaos doesn't mean chaotic.
