Subject: How long does it take you to finish a model (MC/GC)?

I am running into issues of spending WAY to much time on each and every model that I paint and was wondering if it was just me. I would like to try and speed up how long it takes me.
Examples:
Riptide took about 60 hours from start to finish.
Dreadknight took about 50 hours.
Ghostkeel took me over 50 hours to finish.

Ok ill post my riptide. I'm not a super good painter or anything, i just get annoyed at every single little detail and it ends up taking forever. Between using liquid green stuff to try and fill every single crack, airbrushing, and highlighting it end up taking forever.

I'm a slow and mediocre painter myself. Between that and having 8 armies, I really don't have time to paint even a fraction of my army. I have to do the following to get my armies done:
1. Commission Frontline Gaming to paint some of my stuff.
2. Buy painted mini's from Ebay.
3. Factory-style painting between me and my brother. Between the 2 of us, we were able to paint a flyrant in about 10-hours total.

From opening the box to being 100% done it would take me at most 20 hours to paint of a fairly big model with the biggest having been in the Battlewagon, Deffdread, and Dakkajet size category. I would say closer to the 15 hour mark than anything approaching 20 hours. This is all brush painting so painting a battlewagon can get very tedious.

You don't give yourself enough credit. I'd be extremely pleased with that quality.

It depends on the model, my Trygon took me over 30 hours to do (including assembly), but my Carnifex and Tyrant each only took me about 6 hours because I cut out a lot of the more time consuming steps and wasn't as fussy about having perfectly straight lines. You can't tell the difference from more than about 2 feet away, but if you look up close you can see the Trygon is much more neatly painted. Another big time saver was my brush, I had a pretty crappy brush when painting the Trygon and when I bought a new brush it made feathering the armour plates much faster. Tanks, varies, probably 10-20 hours usually. But I have some finescale models that are much more. The Spitfire I recently completed (1/32 scale) took me ages, I didn't time it but at a guess I'd say in the realm of 100 hours. But I made a lot of mistakes on it, if I had to do it again it'd probably only take me 60 hours as a lot of the time was wasted fixing those mistakes. My most recent model is a P47 Thunderbolt, 1/72 scale, again I didn't time it but at a guess I'd say probably 30 or so hours. Most of that time was assembly, filling gaps, and masking as 95% of the painting was done by airbrush, the actual application of paint only took a few minutes. But I'd often spend a couple of hours masking before I got it to the point where I could spray it.
