Maybe not right now but I don't think these books block anything in the future. I notice the Chaos one specifies that it includes units "at the dawn of the Age of Sigmar."

Looks more like the vertebrae in a spine to me.
I guess with this book coming that means that the Death Grand Alliance won't be getting any new models.
Yeah about that... I have kind of bad news...
The new book only contain 35 warscrolls, and some of you who have seen the WD may have noticed that there are no pics of anything TK related in the WD nor are any of the 8 factions within the books named after the TK or their constructs. And apparently it's not an accident.
To put it simply it's not a question of that faction receiving no new models, but actually losing a lot of models.

That really sucks, that means they won't have any fluff... Luckily you can still use the warscrolls since they don't remove anything from the app.

I would be shocked if they cut out things like the Warsphinx. That's a kit that seems to firmly reside in the AoS style. But I've been shocked before.

Seems bizarre to me if they did away with some of the plastic TK kits like the necropolis knights and the sphinx. Hard to believe that until it's confirmed, but can see some of the other models going. Kind of wish they got rid of some of the finecast/metal stuff in the Chaos book too.
Not familiar with TK keywords myself...

I count about 64 warscrolls in the current app. Roughly 9-10 of those are Old World special characters. That still leaves ~20 scrolls that gotta go. I would guess smart money is on a lot of the old kits. Fell bats, chariots, TK cav, carrion.

Awesome! For £10 sure, why not :-)
I would think lots of the very old Vampire Counts stuff is likely to go too, like the Black Coach - what are we left with if we remove everything but plastic from the 2 ranges?

Hmm.. I'm not as worried for Tomb Kings if they cut a lot of the old junk in general and characters. Here's a partial list of 29 things I wouldn't expect to be cut:
Nagash
Mannfred
Arkhan
Nefereta
Coven Throne
Mortis Engine
Morghast v1
Morghast v2
Terrorgheist
Zombie Dragon
Necropolis Knights
Stalkers
Necrosphinx
Warsphinx
Vargheists
Crypt Horrors
Grave Guard
Zombies
Corpse Cart
Black Knights
Hexwraiths
Spirit Hosts
Crypt Ghouls
Dire Wolves
Wight King
Tomb Banshee
Cairn Wraith
Skeleton Warriors
So that's 29...still room for some more of the TK plastics.

I'd expect a lot of the metal/resin models to be cut, and then start on the older plastics.

Not familiar with TK keywords myself...
Deathlords = Nagash, Mortarch, Morghasts
Soulblight = Vampires
Deathmages = Mortal Necromancers
Deadwalkers = Zombies and if I remember correctly related models like Corpse Cart
Deathrattle = Skeletons
Flesh Eaters Court = Ghouls
Beasts of the Grave = Monsters like the Terrorgheist
Nighthaunts = Spirit Hosts and other ghostly things

You missed out the plastic necromancer too (which will stay as one of the "deathmages" faction no doubt) that makes 30. Leaves 5 room for Formations perhaps...

The Warsphinx, necrosphinx and stalkers (new plastic kits) have the keyword Reanimants that doesn't seem to exist in these 8 factions, not to mention bone giants (awesome in AoS), scorpions, and ushabti.
But seems crazy that these newer plastic TK kits would be gone. I wonder if at such a low pricepoint this book ($16 US) becomes as updateable as the app, so they may come out with a wave of newly revamped TK stuff as the story progresses?

I like this idea that all the models and rules exist in the app. but this is a time period piece. So you could play games in the "Dawn of age of sigmar" or as the story progresses, in later parts of the age.

From what I was told I suggest that none of you keep too much hope.
It is my understanding that their rules will stay on the website for the sake of those already owning the models, but if you like the models themselves you may want to consider getting them very soon.

Apparently the entire range. But that sounded so extreme that I prefer seeing the book with my own eyes before clamoring it. I don't want to sound like a fool if it happens that I misunderstood.

Yikes. At least we'll have a warning though, now that GeeDubs labels the kits as "Last Chance to Buy"
I guess i should start moving to pull the trigger on a Tomb Kings force.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Tomb Kings as a faction are getting the chop, and all their keywords along with them (with the legacy faction remaining in the app) all the 'good' kits (so plastic GW think fit in and will sell) will be ported over into the new Grand Alliance Death and get new keywords for that faction

Tomb Kings skeletons were also totally out of proportions. They are so huge people from old Khemry must have been some kind of Egyptian Space Marines without power armour.
I will not mourn them if they leave.
Guess GW will do the same for each faction. I expect the Bretonnians and Empire to suddenly disappear, IMHO...as well as some of the elves.

I gotta admit TK were some of the best model lines GW makes but from everywhere I've ever had Fantasy interaction they just had such crap rules but now in AoS they can play. I know it's unpopular on forums, (maybe less I need this thread since in theory it's fans and AoS -curious) but one think I'm digging more and more with AoS is how the playing field is leveled much more and you can take what you like rather than worrying about being so uncompetitive. Summoning aside.
I really hide they don't drop any of the cool lookingTKs, which is just about all. IMO.

The basic skeletons (horsemen, infantry, chariot drivers) are awful. But everything else for the line is solid to amazing. So it's a pity they might be getting rid of those as well. But honestly it's just a fall back to what, 5th edition, where they only had vampire counts again.

I don't mind the chariots all that much at all. Looking at them now, they are much better size-wise than their foot slogging counterparts. And let's not forget that before VC got their new skeleton warriors box, the TK skeletons were also the VC skeletons with extra bits thrown in.
Tomb Kings are what got me into fantasy. Undead Egyptians are just too cool. If they get the axe, especially since Khemri was such a huge part of where Nagash and the vampires came from, I'll be one saaaaaaad panda.

Early 5th was a mixed generic book. Late 5th, the VC book came out, and TK got a WD army list. I don’t think tomb kings got their own book in 5th.

TBF I think people have assumed that since AoS launched. I mean, they still had a 6th ed army book, and have had no support at all for over a decade.
