Subject: It's beginning to look a lot like Zimmermas
Our dear friend George Zimmerman almost made it to the three month mark, but once again he is back in the news:
Mr. Z took to his trusty Twitter account and accused his ex-girlfriend of cheating on him with "a dirty Muslim" and posted a half naked picture of her together with her name, phone number, and address.
His account is now suspended, there is some question if this qualifies as "revenge porn", and the always present question of "what charged and/or legal actions could he face next" never dies.
This guy never quits. You'd think you would lay low after tryvon martin....
Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

As crappy of me as it is to blame the victim, I nevertheless feel obligated to point out that George Zimmerman's behavior and relationships with women are substantially documented, and that if you decide to hook up with him, you probably know or should know you're gonna have a bad time.

Truly the gift that keeps on giving.
As fun as it is to make fun of him, I suspect at this point its not his actions that are drawing attention, its because its him doing them.
I think at this point Zimmerman could run over a squirrel and somehow the media would latch on to it.
If I were him I would probably seriously consider moving to Tibet or something, anything to get away from the media.

The media absolutely love dumb idiots who keep being donkey-caves because it gives them fun stories.
If he didn't keep being a witch, he wouldn't keep being put up there to laugh at.
Yes, he's under far more scrutiny than most, might be a fething hint to stop being a gakker.

I mean, are you really surprised that he would blame the media for Zimmerman's problems? Remember, this is the same guy that is advocating for the genocide of 8 million people just because they happen live in ISIS-controlled territory.
In any case, this might be helpful when reading anything he has to say:

They're sending posters that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing strawmen. They're bringing spam. They're trolls. And some, I assume, are good people."

That's not what he meant and you know it. Tens of thousands of men are donky-caves to their girlfriends in this country but Zimmerman is the one that makes the news. Why? Because his notoriety means drama which means ratings.
Tell me, SPJ, if it were you doing this to your girlfriend, would we be hearing about it in New York Magazine? I seriously doubt it. Zimmerman is a freak show attraction and "the media" are the carnival barkers begging people to pay them a nickle to see what's behind the curtain.

I don't think Grey Templar needs you to white knight for him, but that sure is sweet of you to do it.

True. But (in)famous people don't have the luxury of being anonymous donkey-caves, especially when they go out of their way to broadcast it for the world to see.

No of course not and there are couple of reasons for that.
For starters, I'm married so I don't have a girlfriend. Also, I'm not a flaming douchenozzle, so I wouldn't post hypothetical topless photos of my hypothetical girlfriend on my hypothetical Twitter account in the first place. Most importantly, I'm not (in)famous for killing a guy and getting away with it so no one really gives a gak what I do or don't do.
Zimmerman is a freak show attraction and "the media" are the carnival barkers begging people to pay them a nickle to see what's behind the curtain.
That is the media's fault because...? He has no one to blame but himself.

I do think Zimmerman is terrible person. Which got exacerbated by the media witch hunt he was subjected to, and really I think anybody would snap a little if the media did what they did to him. Now any time he does something terrible it gets latched onto, no matter how small or inconsequential, not because the act is terrible but because "the Zimmermanz is up to terrible things again!".
Just kinda wish they'd drop it. He's not worth the attention. Writing a story about him just reinforces every negative stereotype about the media that exists, especially when there are thousands of more interesting things they could be writing about.

I don't entirely disagree, but it's not like paparazzi were staking him out waiting for him to do something slightly dumb.
He posted this on his Twitter feed, which has 15,000 followers. He created the story. He wanted attention, which is why he posted publicly on social media. That he's getting the wrong kind of attention is no doubt frustrating him, but he's not being victimized here. He's volunteering.

Sure, if we lived in some sort of bizarre fantasy world where there weren't people willing to whore themselves out for the slightest hint of fame, maybe that would be necessary.
