The train always has another cart still in station. Man, that was a crappy way to expand on an expression. I saw you ask if you could drop in an Inquisition spot on like page 2, and wondered if you'd ever do anything on that.

Anyway, welcome aboard, it seems like the Imperium can get as many hands on deck as it can get. Storms are brewing, and the deep has come.

I was going to originally drop a well equipped Rogue trader and a few cohorts in, but by the time I came back to read through, it seemed like the train was already well out of the station.

I'm not around too often to sit and write, so someone out to turn a buck on the mess being made seemed like fun.

I like how I picked the number that was rolled, it is indeed a good day.

Ezra, I forgot to ask you, how would you feel about joining my Coalition? If you want to you can retreat to Voor'Han, I'm not sure where you are though.
WK, I'm rolling to see if I can help cover your DE's retreat to Voor'Han for negotiations.
EoN, I'm going to send a message to your Lord about joining the Coalition.
2BJ1, I'm also going to send a message to Archarus about meeting up on Voor'Han.
Ashiraya, you should also join the Coalition, we could really use the GS help.

I have picked Voor'Han as the coalition meeting place due to my roll against the Nids, it should be pretty safe.

If anyone else wants to join the Coalition let me know.

I'll drop a PM when I'm back from travelling around, what sort of info would be helpful?

Anyone else get a kick out of 'how the deep has come' might just become a new slogan for this campaign? Of course, it's easier for us to jest about it since we don't actually have to worry about those beasts ripping us in half while fog surrounds us.

You're welcome for the morbid thought.

I'll have to think up names and check the old FFG RPG for dimensions/ship types, but basically it's a bit Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
The RT himself captains his main ship, which is fairly large (in RT terms, seem to remember they are smaller than imperial navy), his "fleet" are then a secondary medium vessel and a little scouting thing that hides at any given opportunity.
His objective would be to make money whilst pretending not to care what's going on around him. Charging refugees for safe travel, selling weapons, and defending/answering those in distress who may be able to pay well. Or at least that's what he says is the reason. If anyone finds out he's doing it out of a sense of duty or charity, he'd probably shoot them ironically.
Second vessel and most day to day runnings and real brains of the outfit would be handled by his seneschal and close crew.
The third ship certainly has people on it, and you're likely not cleared to know who (or I'm still thinking.). They're mostly bumming a ride and using the RT's hospitality whilst observing and reporting what's going on.

That sort of thing?

My complete lack of knowledge about weaponry may be a factor.

Though to be fair, the larger RT vessels are 8-12 kilometres long and can contain their own IG regiments and fairly brutal lance and side weaponry. I just don't feel confident I can bs things I don't know about.

*knocks* Hello? I was told to come here... Warhammer 40k RP? Hmmmm... I may be a bit much to handle and my fluff has no anchor in the universe really. It would mainly be a single character at the start who gains power over time.

I also noticed some rolling going on... could you point me in the direction of the rules? I would like an idea of whats going on before I dive in at terminal speed.

10-12 Km is larger than my 8km battlebarge lol

8-10km at the most might make more high end estimates that fit better

Hello and welcome to the Crusade of Fury OT thread. I'm Smudge, and I'll be your GM for this... adventure? Yeah, we'll call it that. The exits are here, here, and here.

PM me if you're interested in starting up.

So, rolling mechanics. Here for future record:

If you want to do an action (repairs, negotiations with NPCs, attacking, defending, etc), you choose a number from 1-100. I then randomly roll one, and the closer you are to my number, the more successful you are at that action.

Basically, this is a long-running thread following the progress of an Imperial Crusade. Each person here is playing with an army (or armies) and they are fighting for or against the Crusade. I have Eldar, DEldar, and Ultramarines taking part. I would recommend having an actual army taking part in the Crusade, as it makes it a little easier to work with (although you could be like BC who's bringing in a Rogue Trader). Feel free to PM our GM Sgt_Smudge to learn more.

The Deep is basically spooky scary Tyranids send shivers down your spine. And the Xenos could use more people, however, I'd check with Sgt_Smudge first

The Deep* are a collective of alien creatures which first appeared on Kagrenz. They share many qualities similar to a Tyranid Genestealer, but seem to be different in ways that grant minor psychic control over water vapour, resulting in their colloquial name of "Fog Creatures". However, no-one quite knows their origin or goals in the Crusade. All that is known is that they are a threat to every army in the sector.

*(who now by virtue of being a top quality meme of the thread, such as the italicization of the prefix Acting-Captain, will only ever be referred to in red text)

As for alignments, I really don't mind which faction you side with. I add in NPC forces as appropriate to balance things.

The closest thing we have to a summary is a TL;DR a few pages back in this thread.

Here's a rough summery of what's going on at the moment. Space Bugs are trying to nom every army present (and they've beaten the tar out of several of them). El Lord General has called a council to get all the Imperial Factions to just get along for once. Oh, and romance is blooming over on the Eldar side of things, just ask TS

My Delegation is:
Captain Julius (in MKIV plate)
Librarian Veho
Tactical Squad Salonius

On the Eldar side?

Fam, we got love everywhere.

A Commisar and a Captain of the Guard (Female knight badass who kind of went soft now that shes preggers)

A Judge (Bastard child of a Space Marine Captain and Chaplain) and a priestess. Mostly a communal thing, no physicalities.

An Inquisitor and her Wyches (Not going to explain it farther than this. 2 NSFW, 4 me)

An Autarch and a Farseer
