I'm finishing up the battle scene for my Histans on Julla right now. It will be nice to write up a reunion of the two groups, and to have Vayden cheer up now that he sees he won't have to fight on with Falkon's knife.

It's quite alright. I mean, I know I've said it before, but I almost had to kill off Archarus within my first five fething rolls, because he was failing so bad. Good thing he's recovered by now, but is it bad that I didn't want to replace him mostly because I liked his name so much?

Also, if you're worried about screwing up, I could pick the next set of rolls, but I don't have that much luck either. I still have a different failure I have to write up sometime.

I enjoyed it a fair bit. You're better at writing about my Marines than I am. I hope to make my next blurb worth it. The Histans/Marine combo needs to decide on their next move.

Are the hybrids maggots on the map?

Also it won't offend me whenever the crusade comes to a close. A single world would be easier to manage and draw lines for alliances and stuff.

And WK, stop doing yourself down. This is about ideas and telling a story together, not about literary skill. Its the digital equivalent of campfire stories.

I agree that a single world could be epic as well as easier to manage. If this had been a ground campaign, I'd have joined from the start.
I'm in no rush to see this dead though. And hopefully the genestealers leave me with enough crew to see the sequel. Beginning to think three ships and three or four crew was maybe a little short sighted in terms of casualties.

I agree with BC, to quote Julius "Don't sell yourself short". - yes, I did just quote myself, in a way. No, I do not regret it.

As for the next crusade, may it be a long time before it happens, I'll sign up to have a villain again, but it probably won't be Archarus or an Iron Warrior. The Histans will probably be there (like, most definitely) as my good guys, per se.

I definitely think it should be a DOW style of Campaign (those of you who have played Soulstorm/Dark Crusade will know what I'm talking about, those who haven't really should get the games, as they are superb). Having it on one planet and fighting over territory will help everyone get into the campaign more. Right now I don't know where most people are, all I know is where 2BJ1 and I are. If/when the New Crusade starts up I'm definitely bringing in some Guard. I have some regiment ideas.

One planet will definitely bring us a bit closer, and each defeat will be more heartfelt. I just hope we don't find any MEHTUL BAWKES when we get it started. (Again, hopefully it will be awhile before that happens)

I hope you don't mean actual tanks, cuz I wanted to use an armored regiment when the time comes (or a rifle regiment, also agree on it hopefully being a while)

I was only joking, WK, and referencing to the Chaos Lord from Soulstorm. The voice acting for him was... different, to say the least. An armored regiment would be cool to see. I've also been looking at the Harakoni Warhawks, who seem pretty cool.

Also, that was a nice bit you wrote up, TS. And I do agree with her, why the moon and stars?

I've been writing up some regiments for another thread in the Fiction section, and one of them was an armored regiment, one seeking to prove themselves after a previous bloody defeat.

I'll have to take a look at that. An armored regiment with a vendetta of sorts could be very interesting. And destructive, come to think of it.

And that's actually quite nice, TS. Far better than anything I could do for my regiments, if I ever attempt anything of the sort.

Well, that regiment hasn't made an appearance in that thread yet, the other Armored regiment I made has made it's appearance though.

I'm slightly worried that if everybody and his hamster knows that Fairfax is there to inspect the regiment, he's going to be SoL trying to infiltrate subtly.

I was going to have him turn up and investigate under the guise of a recruitment drive. Being that he hadn't even told the planet he'd arrived yet.
