I'm perfectly willing to do any of the "big" 3. (Xeno, Imperial, Chaos etc). It might have just been a conversation I had with Kharne about the 1 faction per person thing

Yeah, I was going to wait for an official roster before I commit myself, but I was just putting it out there that I would like to run two factions.

Though next crusade I'm down sizing. Company, to Demi company. Il join up maybe for larger missions.
Space wolves, maybe a auxiliary element to form meat shields. Ahem support.
Scions, or such smaller elite humans.

I was going to do one straight ground force, and still have my trader ship buzzing around in space, seeing as it's a non combat entity. Assuming something survives from CoF 1

That's the thing, I wanted to do two seperate factions for that exact reasons: two seperated experiences. I suppose I'm the only one complaining about this though, so I guess I'll just limit myself to one faction, if it's only a bother to others. I don't want to ruin other people's experience by being self centered about this.

I'm also in no hurry to see this Crusade end. And the reason why I thought 1 might be a good idea is we're fighting on a smaller area (one planet, moon, and orbital station) instead of an entire system

I'm not in a hurry to start a new crusade yet, might work better if you wasnt charecter interaction like on outr last doomed planet if we move together to maybe counter hive mind over a single planet, space station, moons etc.

Here's an idea, we each pick 1 army first
We create roster
people who want to can make a second army to help fill/even out roster

This way we can have 2 armies. I kinda want to do Necrons/Tau

Buttery: I want this Crusade to continue too, I'm just getting details since I'm working on Crusade 2.0 with everyone's help

Hopefully we can avoid it being skewed one way or another towards Imperials/Chaos/Xenos

I basically withdrew from this crusade... There wasn't a end goal to achieve....

Maybe view it as less of a board game to "win" and more of a story telling experience?
I never really saw it as competitive, but maybe I'm hugbox.

Smudge has all the mechanics and such, we still need his help.

The roll system is a good addition to add Radom factors.
We are not killing this crusade, we still have to somehow beat hybrids.

I've never been playing to win, just write and read good writing.
No ones disappointed me!

The roll system is why I somehow managed to blow up a PDF patrol in Feral Ork territory.

I realise that read as possibly aggressive, didn't mean to. This is where speaking beats typing.

TS raised the point that if you roll around 50, you screw up less, so the way I view it is that you can set your own chances slightly.
I give my more volatile characters worse odds.

Unfortunately it's pretty much hospitalised my commissar short term, but it should teach him a lesson about diplomacy.

i thought that was what the missions were for? And collaborating on them, etc?
How many have been finished as such?

I know, why not direct current situation and nudge to killing the hive mind. Simple. Find a way to kill its HQ and win.

I dont think anyone here is upset at all but let me put things condensed

this is an amazing crusade that is a game as much as it is a story telling experience.
without an end goal things become stagnant, but if the goal is too easy, then its easy to win and not as fun.

I believe we have found somewhat of a balance in this crusade that couldn't have been achieved without the help of everyone here,
especially Rob and Smudge

This aura and feeling and gameplay and story telling is exactly what I want to bring into the next crusade.

if you think about it, we are only really playing the same game on a different map with smaller forces and more variety,
I look forward to the future but respect the past

Quite simply, I agree. And after the next Crusade ends, there's no reason why we can't just simply start another one. How well these Crusades work out is up to us. Kharne and Smudge may make the Crusade, but WE the players make it work

We also shape it, I mean the characters, decisions all feed into smudges choices of direction. He has to work with our choices just as much as we do his.

Any crusade is a two way process.
