Hey mates, just have a simple question for you and while I believe I know the answer, just wanted to confirm it. If I run White Scars out of this formation, am I limited to just the Relics from the Kauyon Book or can I still have access to the ones from the SM Codex. Such as the Burning Blade, Shield Eternal, etc.

I would think you're limited to the relics from that book. It's like how Crimson Slaughter players have to use their relics if they're running that book.

It clearly says that you can Relics from both lists in the same detachment.

Yeah, CSM dont get things like that, you aren't the poster boys of 40k.

That's odd. I didn't pick up the book (as I'm not a WS or RG player) so I figured that it would be similar to Crimson Slaughter. In any case that's idiotic, and it doesn't help us Marine players because it only makes our reputation as the poster boys even worse.

Yeah, I picked up my copy for the White Scars, but I'm probably just gonna play Blood Angels I think. Maybe with the Raven Guard formations, since they mimic what BA should do.

Just depends on which legion I end up playing for 30k

You can't have relics from both books on the same guy though.

It says that a model can take a Relic from the Scars "instead". Not a full quote obviously but it does specifically say the word instead. Then goes on to say a detachment can take from both.

Gotcha. Only reason I asked is that currently, I am looking to run the Hunter Formation from the Kauyon Campaign Book and I can take two HQ's, one which can be replaced with Khan. Plan was to run a Chapter Master and Khan with the formation and just wanted to make sure if I could equip him with the Shield Eternal, TH Combo or the Burning Blade, SS Combo instead of using the White Scars Relics.
