This got mentioned a couple of months ago - I think I have spotted it!

I also did a little tour of the exhibition centre of Warhammer World - if you have not seen it before, you probably want to take a peak https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2015/12/19/a-tour-of-warhammer-world/

It really shows how modular the dreadhold bits are - though they are cheating like nobody's business. You can't tell in the photo but the elevated area is two dozen floors tessellated (a different picture was shown on Twitter). There's no way a normal human could afford the bits on that table. I mean, who is going to put three Skull Keeps together to make a single, wider Skull Keep? Or place two sets of walls on top of each other? One of the buildings (right side of the top picture) is a hexagonal Overlord Bastion. Amazing table, but physically impossible for anyone but Games Workshop to build. You can't even build one element of it without ending up paying for three times as much as you use.

If GW ever sells by the sprue, though... watch out!

Not even Khorne knows the source of that river, for you see, he cares not from whence it flows.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Nah, some jerk just knocked over the skull pyramid a few miles away and a bunch of the skulls rolled into the river. Khul was pissed.

I can see some ground poking out between the skull piles and the skull clad buildings.

Any guestimate at what it'd cost at retail to reproduce that? I doubt it cost GW more than maybe £50 in plastics but I dread to think what the rrp would be.

Typically decent WHW table, clearly designed to make the most of the Dreadfort but the table surface generally looks too plain.

This sounds daft even as I type it but I can see someone filling their castle wall with skullz but theres no dam reason for skulls to mound up in a river (even one of blood) every few paces. Skull lined, skulls bobbing along or deposted on the back fine, but in piles - NO!

Even when you're going OTT with skullz it seems like the old adage of less is more still applies I guess.

Saw it on Monday- hugely impressed with it all, to be fair. Gw's presentation at warhammer world is excellent.

Can you just rock up and play on this table? I would love to have a game on it!

You can book games on specific tables. As far as I am aware, that is free...

I went along yesterday and this table was being used to showcase a diorama between Khorne/Everchosen and Stormcast Eternals, was rather amazing looking!

Still though prefer the Dwarf v Skaven tunnel based battle they've done there.

Yeah, you can! I book by phone usually, and they let you know what tables are available for a certain day. I must say, their tables are always good fun to play on.

I'm making it a personal hobby goal to get a game on that table with a fully painted army of my own :-)

Their website has a booking system, or you can call. Having seen the way they have to manually click dates, call with dates in mind.
Non holiday season, 4-6 weeks ahead should guarantee you a spot. Some tables are swapped in and out, so it may come and go.
During tournament weekends, tables are removed, so skim their event calendar.

It has been christened with blood. Someone ripped their forearm open on all the spikes on one of the walls (what idiot even leans on plastic scenery?). It has a health and safety sign now.

Well said.

Definitely the most sensible post I've read so far in 2016.
