So when I went to the local GW (which, Warhammer Glasgow is about 4 times the size of GW Belfast, complete with tables and paint stations, its great!) to buy some replacement paints, I noticed they now have double sized Shades? For the same price? I have a 24ml Agrax Earthshade in my hand right now. When did all this happen? Did I miss anything else this significant? Does GW still do 12ml pots?

A few weeks back. But if I remember correctly, that was only for some of the popular paints, not for all.

For me (In Australia) the original shades were $6AUD per pot, but with the double sized ones, they're $11AUD.

No, not the same price, they went from £2.55 to £4.55. It happened like, I dunno, a month ago?

Well, I went with the intention of buying 8 paints, bought 7 because one was out of stock, and instead of being charged 20.40 I was charged £18 or so, can't remember exact price. Maybe an anomaly at the till? Anyways, that's still a good price, its actually saving you 55p. It lasts longer and the price of the pots is less than double for double the content.

maybe they had a sale? I bought some from my LGS and they were roughly double the normal price, of course that's not direct GW. Anyway yeah they're a great deal on the shades! especially those you use just about all the time (like agrax)

Sounds like the staff goofed. They're definitely more money.
Personally I'm so-so as I didn't pick up some colours before they went, and I sure as hell don't want £4 worth of ones I barely use.

Meh. Still worse value than Army Painter.

It's only the shades (not the regular paints).

My FLGS was invoiced by GW for 12ml but shipped 24ml on their very first order, so they let me buy the big sizes at the little-sized prices
