In a battle I could not finish last night, I watched as 3 flying monstrous creatures armed with devourers with brain leech worms shot my CMSs to pieces, and there was nothing I could do about it. This isn't the first time either. I've been trying for the longest time and I can't find a way to get at them. All I can do is sit tight and hope the player is dumb enough to glide them so I can assault with Abaddon. I am completely dumbfounded. I was gonna get a winged daemon prince on friday to chase them down in the air. Common sense tells me that monstrous creatures can assault other freaking monstrous creatures but then I remembered to not bring up anything that involves common sense with GW. Haha, flying monstrous creatures can't assault other flying monstrous creatures apparently. I am, officially out of ideas. Help anyone?

Use FMCs and cast psychic shriek on them

Vector strike them (with FMCs and Heldrakes)

Take Hell Blades or Fire Raptors from forge world and shoot them

Force them to jink so they don't do significant damage.

Well, they aren't in the codex, is there a supplement out there somewhere?

Get 3 Hellbaldes with helstorm cannons for 6 s7 ap4 rending shots. Uses fast slot.

Then if you have extra money then buy 1 or even 2 fire raptor gunships. Very expensive. However having just one give insane air doninance. Uses heavy slot.

if you dont have money after buying 3 helblades then make ghetto havocs with autocannons. get heavy bolters and glue coffee straws onto muzzles.

I love the sound of those hellblades. Does forgeworld have it's own rules attached to these models for tabletop? Forgive me, I have never bought anything off forgeworld.

How about Wall of Martyrs: Firestorm Redoubt? Is it good? You can put havocs inside.

Imperial armour 13 is the book you're after. Be aware though that a) the books and models from forgeworld are quite expensive and b) many people won't let you play forgeworld, so check with your regular opponents before you sink hundreds or thousands of dollars into forgeworld models.

If you want to stay in Codex, 3 Heldrakes going 2nd should be able to vector Strike them away and nurgle Obliterators can fire Assault cannons or twin linked plasma at them with reasonable effectiveness and probably survive the return fire, though csm is in a bad place at the moment and it's not going to get better soon either.
