Sorry if this has been posted before but I just logged onto the GW website and the plastic Bloodthirster (but not Skarbrand) is No Longer Available?

I'm on the Canadian site btw, so it might not be true for everyone else. Still tho. Flat What.

This the new Bloodthirster that already had round bases that came out last year. This is very odd.

He is out of stock on the US site too.

Maybe technical issues with producing them?

It's sold out on the US site as well. Maybe they've decided they don't want to make Chaos anymore? Bloodthirster's been around since Slaves to Darkness. Sad to see him go.

The same one coming in a box that has the old Warhammer logo and square bases. Probably just going to get reboxed, we've seen this before with the Putrid Blightkings which also came out not too long ago.

For what it's worth, the last one I got only had an oval base in the box.
Not sure if it was a packing error, but I didn't get a square with it.

Glad I already got mine, although like some said, they are probably just repackaging the kit. It sold too well for them to just stop making it.

I just hope it doesn't end up like what they did with the CSM during the Crimson Slaughter release; change the packaging and then hike the price up.

Does Skarbrand contain the same sprues? Maybe they don't see the point in selling both.

Wasn't the box basically in the AoS aesthetic anyway? And why didn't they take down stuff like Nagash as well?

They share some sprues, but you can't build a "normal" Bloodthirster from Skarbrand's box. Notably, the wings are different.

The BT had hit a convenient point in the stock ordering for it - Nagash hadnt (timing of kit release vs sales pattern over the last year)

He'll be back out soon with AoS packaging and no square base. Bloodthirster also sold better than Nagash. You only need one Nagash (unless you still have the original as well

), but you can have as many 'thirsters as you want.

He comes with some of the same sprues, but not all.

If Skarbrand vanishes then we'll know that they're just packaging it all together.
