After a long and wonderful holiday season -- filled with all things of wonderment, warm and joy, but sadly devoid of hobby and gaming -- I'm back to having free time

So, in celebration, I cracked out a Forge World kit and painted up some Outriders! The helmets and backpacks are from Calth (because those Mk4 pieces are just way, way better than the resin ones that come with the kit), and the shoulder pads come from Death Company and BA Upgrade frame. They are lightly just weathered, made to fall between the sparkly clean power armor guys and the grimy tanks that fill up my slowly growing Blood Angels reboot.

You probably can't tell looking at the photos, but one outrider was painted assembled (rider separate), while the other two were painted in many pieces. On a lot of resin kits, I tend to preassemble them, as the fit is often not quite perfect, and needs to be remediated. The Outrider isn't so bad, though, because it starts off as a (plastic) scout bike. Anyhow, I mention this just to note that it took significantly less time to paint the ones that were assembled after the components were mostly painted.

As always, I really appreciate your comments and criticism!

P.S. - @AllSeeingSkink - You are evil. I've started doing all the text I write as double-lined letters now It started, mostly, because it's more challenging , though I must confess that it has gotten much easier than when you put forth that "Write ZAEL" post But this takes more time! It's 100% your fault! LOL.

Good work, and nice to see some weathering on your stuff! The rest is great, but the weathering on these really stops them looking like massive blocks of red.

Looks great Talys! Agree Zen117 about taking a whole army shot.

Only thing I would recommend is some variation in the models/bits. All three bikes appear to be exact clones though maybe that's what you were going for.

Thanks guys

@Zen -- I will take army pics for sure, one day when the Blood Angels are actually done. I don't really have a nice photography set-up where I game, and I need a pretty big table to just to put out the stuff I've already done.

@Eggroll -- I'll actually never use these guys, which is why they're clones. I just wanted outriders

@Paradigm -- For my blood angels, the bigger the model, the more I weather them. So tanks and jets will get a lot of weathering, and infantry, a nothing at all. I did consider weathering everything at first (even if it was a little at the feet), but I'm too far into these guys now to change that up

Amazing as ever Talys! Were you not tempted to mount them on the AoS cavalry bases to give them a bit of breathing room?

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Awesome stuff! On the one hand, I feel like there could maybe be a spot colour on the small panels in the front wheel cases or whatever they're called. On the other hand, the full red look is cool too... Weathering wise, perhaps the small bit of panel that is right in the flow of the exhaust could be more towards dark/black. Just some thoughts though, they look totally fab
