Hello!

I have some non-wargaming pictures I wanted to share... normally I'd save the pictures link... but these are my own photos, not ones found from a google search.

I tried a url from my google drive but that doesn't seem to work.
I also tried Picasa but that doesn't seem to work as well.

(or maybe I'm sharing incorrectly?)

Here are some examples:

From google drive:
From Picasa:

Are google based hosting services something that do not work with dakka dakka? Any suggestions on another site?

Edit:
From Google+:

Oh that seemed to work... but is that because I'm logged into google at my computer? Do you think some folks might have a problem with it at their own computer?

Imgur is the go-to for me.
There's a little known feature that you can set the size of the image with it, if you uploaded straight from your phone.

When posting the image, say it's Imgur.com/banana.jpg (in the img tags of course), you can add one of 3 letters to change the size.

Imgur is a good site for hosting, if you need someone to second it.

And BC, I swear, these butt jokes have to be writing themselves at this point.

Imgur or Photobucket for my money. Both are quick and easy to use. I personally prefer PB, but that's me.

Okay cool. Thanks for the suggestions folks. I think the photo limit thing I was thinking of might have been an old issue that probably isn't relevant any longer.

Hope you all like cat pictures

I've used Picasaweb because it was free, and Google is pretty much never blocked at work, but that was before Imgur existed and now I too would vote for Imgur.

Use Tinypic. It is quick, easy, always works (unlike photobucket, don't ever use photobucket!) and doesn't even need registration.

LOLWUT?

I use Photobucket all the time, with no problems.

What's been your problem with Photobucket?

It doesn't display any pictures when I am using Firefox. It just says "Sorry, an unexpected error occurred. Please try again.". It works fine when I use Chrome, but I just prefer using Firefox.

We usually use tinypic, but somehow have been called out as being old when people realized. Other than that, imgur sure is a good pick.

I use three - DeviantArt, Tinypic and Imgur.

As the name suggests, DeviantArt is an art website, photography included, so something like your cat photo would fit right in.

Tinypic and Imgur I use for the same purpose - hosting things I want to post to forums without attachment hosting themselves - and Imgur has pretty much replaced Tinypic for that purpose.

This is odd, as I exclusively use Firefox and have no problems at all!

Well, luckily there's been a whole host of excellent...hosting sites listed so far!

Photobucket has always been slower than imgur, messes with direct links and videos, and imgur generally feels more sleek. My experience, of course.
