Yes, because your automatically level 1 as per brb, so buying mastery 1 would make you mastery 2, basic maths that, it's a holdover from the previous ed, I fully expect it to be changed with the update for clarity.

No, because i dont think your a psyker until you buy a level since levels are required now... Not sure, but eitger you cant have a mastery level one psyker or cant have a mastery level three.

Like I said the brb says if your not given a mastery level, your automatically mastery level 1, when purchasing the liby consol, your not given a mastery level, so automatically level 1, then it says you can buy mastery 1 or 2, but your already mastery one as per brb, so the only way to resolve the rule is 1+1+1 = 3, go check the brb and legions list, you'll see what I mean.

All it says is that you must take up to two levels of mastery, so I would argue otherwise. Not only dies it say you must take them, meaning you are given a mastery level (that you have to buy), but it also specifically says up to two mastery levels.

You buy psyker----------------------- massive gap, then you are told to buy mastery 1 or 2, as soon as your a psyker without a mastery level, your mastery 1, if it said "you become a psyker with mastery level 1, you may then purchase a further level for X points" we'd be fine.

It's an unintentional error clearly, but it still results is mastery 1 before purchasing a mastery level, so how would you resolve the issue?

I wont lie, I was about 90% sure I was doing Fists, until FW dropped the diamond-in-the-rough that is IXth legion. If the rumored drop in points for assault squads is significant, and if say, legion veterans get an option for jump packs... the BA will be a serious threat in the majority shooting-game that is AoD. I also think that BA will get huge use out of LC-tartaros termies with a dual LC chaplain attached. the amount of MEQ blendering those dudes will pull off is astounding.

Also, 345 points gets you a squadron of predators with a TL-AsC, two IAsC sponsons and a pintle AsC.

I fully intend to make a 30k force with a Jump Pack & artificer armored Praetor and a bunch of jump pack squads at this point. Just the concept of it alone has me excited to get started. Won't be till much later this year, however.

We'll see what we can see soon enough.
