If this list is accurate then its sad that not only did this make it through the BAO and take second place with an undefeated record, but it has taken this long for anyone to even say something about it.

I searched and found nothing about his list being invalid due to over points, just how its a broke list due to rules.

Honestly unless anyone can prove otherwise he should have his 2nd place title stripped as even being 1 model over points can not only effect the outcome but its not legal

I got 1848 in Army Builder just now. I don't know where you are getting the extra ten from but I'm quite certain his list is legit.

Yep it was 1 vanguard over. This tourney was also nearly a year ago and this was already discussed publicly. Thanks though! Made a mistake that had no impact on the tourney/results (thankfully).

In a list that already has a host of free upgrades what's 10 more free points right? Extra points never hurt anything.

Just under 7 months. It only felt like a year.

It seems like a small mistake people just make. I went into the LVO with to many points cause for some reason i thought meltas where 5pts. we all make mistakes, I doupt it mattered much.

Thanks for admitting it I guess, I just found it odd that this is the first im hearing of it if it was a transparent situation that everyone already knew about. Since people readily jumped in to state the list was legal when in fact it was over points then the truth had evidently had not been widely disclosed about the situation.

Mistakes happen I guess, people go over points, find rigged dice that got mixed in, have illegal lists, all purely by accident. Even if the effect on the outcome of the game is irrelevant its generally considered poor form to just say "so what?" when such a thing happens.

It's also poor form to publicly try and start a witch hunt because you didn't see "enough discussion" on something you perceive as cheating.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do but yes, this is NOW a "so what?" kind of situation because that tourney was almost a year ago and this error was found, discussed and handled almost a year ago. If you'd like people to be.. what? More upset? Go for it. You made a thread here and on FLG trying to raise a riot instead of handling it like an adult and contacting me. But hey, you can try and raise as big of a stink as you like. I DID in fact have 1 extra vanguard at my first tourney with the War Convocation and I felt horrible about it.. you can even read my comments on it if you can find them from 7 months ago.

i mean back when NOVA started and tony was 3 points over the internet lost its mind... but now that everyone gets free gak for nothing... whats an extra vanguard?

I remember that! I think even the best players will eventually make a mistake, but owning up to it is the important part.

Since it looks like this has been asked and answered, I'm going to lock this thread up - if anyone feels something should be done otherwise, please PM me.
