I was looking at the battle foam magna rack as a different option to store/transport my growing infinity collection. I was browsing kickstart/indiegogo when I found this option. Here is the link:

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/feldmaster-revolutionary-miniatures-carrying-case/x/13404505#/funders

I did get the one case, just wondering what the community thought of these, it is fairly expensive, but still cheaper than the battle foam option, plus looks like you can pull the tray out for easy access.

I like how there are three different options, not sure how well the "magic" sticky mat will work, but the steel plate seems good enough.

Feldmaster? Really?
And this company has nothing to do with Feldherr? Especially considering "Herr" means "Master" in German, this is especially questionable.

"Feldmaster"

Corvus Belli really has a history of getting mixed up with questionably ethical companies (Blue Table, Battlefoams, and this).

What's wrong with Feldherr/master? Is this a new company trying to get false name recognition? I'd never actually heard of Feldherr before googling it 30 seconds ago.

I'm just not that impressed with the bag, myself. You can use cardboard mailer boxes with galvanized metal sheeting in the bottom for a tenth the cost, and just find a duffel bag if you need to travel with it. That's actually been my storage system for over a decade now, rare earth magnets in a models base and metal lined boxes on my shelves holding everything from 40k armies to Warmachine to Battletech and a dozen other games over the years. Probably spent the same on boxes/magnets/sheeting for all my armies as the cost of a single one of those bags.

Feldherr are pretty well known/popular (at least around these parts), so sounds like they are most likely trying to trade off that name.

Instantly makes you think "hmmm..", even though there may be absolutely nothing wrong with it and a perfectly good product!

Wow, these are insanely expensive. And if they're based in Poland why are the case $20 more in Europe than the US or Australia?

Guess I need to get magnetising my minis for some cheap storage. any tips on what size to get so they're sturdy enough to hold?

Infinity bases have a spot for a 5mms magnet molded directly into them, although I find that to be a bit weak. They hold the figures to the trays but you need to be careful during transport not to tip the case too quickly or they'll bounce around. Definitely get N50 rated magnets if you go with that size. I prefer to use 10mmx2mm magnets, even the N35 strength ones hold a metal figure very securely. You can find them cheaply on ebay, often from China.

You can use anything as a box, cardboard or plastic. You can buy product metal sheets or cheap tin cookie sheets, but best is to get galvanized metal flashing from a DIY store, I picked up a 12" wide roll 50' long for $33 USD not too long ago, they come in thinner rolls and shorter lengths too. Just pick up the matching width of whatever box you want to use and use tin snips to cut it to length.

Thanks man, I had a feeling a 5mm magnet wouldn't cut it. I'll get some ordered and have a think about a case

I just wanted to point it out to the community as an alternate company/product than battle foam, sable, etc... I do realize there are far cheaper alternatives that pre fabricated products.

I do appreciate the input on the magnets and strength recommendations.

Nah man, I appreciate the heads up on it, sorry if it came out wrong. It seems like a good product, just had a bit of a shock seeing the price.

The smaller case they've added seems more like something I'd want, still hard to beat the price to usefulness ratio of a sandwich box with some metal sheet glued in though.

I found the initial procut very... underwhelming for the price tag. The smaller case however, has me pretty tempted, because that's exactly what I need for transporting my miniatures and I haven't gotten around to build a homemade version of a box with a metal sheet in it in the last year...

Got my small case today, no instructions made it a bitch to put together. Was very unstable (no idea if I assembled it correctly), once I put it in the bag it's very good. Well worth the initial pricetag of 50 USD + 17 USD metal trays + 21 USD shipping. The 130 pricetag they ask now? Don't think so.
