They're not mentioned in Pedros rules, so no, they're not.

Possibly. It would depend on the Command Benefits of the Detachment (or Formation special rules of the Formation) used.

However, Pedro Kantor's special rule does not affect dedicated transports.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

By Pedro's own rules, nope. The reason that some vehicles can get Objective Secured is because the detachment itself gives it to them.

As I understand it if you take a vehicle as a Dedicated Transport, it loses whatever battlefield role it had before and becomes the same battlefield role as whatever bought it for a Transport. In a CAD, this means if it was bought for a Troop Choice, it is considered to be Troops. CADs then grant all Troops Objective Secured (which the vehicle now is).

For Kantor, he specifically lists the Sternguard unit, so while the Pods would be considered Elites in his army due to being a transport for the Sternguards, it wouldn't actually be considered part of the Sternguard unit and thus wouldn't gain it.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
