This.
A lot of the options and stat lines and everything for
40k can just be slid right over. Some little tweaks here or there because there are clearly options that need them. But increase unit sizes, Make additional models cost less so there is less
MSU or at least incentive to do otherwise. More upgrades with a flat cost to the unit and less cost per model (again incentive to boost a unit instead of taking multiple min sized one.) Restricting people to the
FOC's used in 30k to rebalance how units are selected. Rites of war that make different units into mandatory compulsory troops.
Some of the "support" codex's could be made into "Agents of". Harlequins as "Agents of the Eldar" that could be used by
DE or CW Eldar.
I don't know. It seems like the 30k mechanics would not take THAT much work to adjust for everybody. Yes, work. The unit size/costs would certainly be some work. But it could be a lot of fun.
Some armies would be harder then others. I like the idea of no
atsknf and very few units with fearless so that moral plays a much larger role. So Nids would need some major adjustments or else their army wide fearless would become pretty crazy. But yeah...
30ks structure seems like a kind of 8th edition where the game has just been refined into a much more smoothly running game. All the basic mechanics are there. So why not?
