Subject: Does ninja tau still work?

I'm considering making a ninja tau list, but I've yet to see any recent articles on the play style that are up to date (I only see stuff from
2009-2010 when I search google). I'd personally love to know if ninja tau still worked and how to build a list for it. Does anyone here have any input on the current viability of ninja tau, or is it just an out of date obsolete strat that has no place in modern 40?

Maybe if you explained what "Ninja Tau" is it would help people know if it is still viable?

It involves controlling reserves and Deep Striking units in with Positional Relays for no scatter.
Turn 4 is where it shines.

With the retaliation cadre, yes its even better now. And you mean homing beacon. Except turn two is where it really shines now

Yeah, I think Relay is SM. Oops.
I don't play Ninja Tau a lot, although I totally could with my army. Haven't assembled the retaliation cadre though.

I played a ranged support cadre and a retaliation cadre combo in a league game at 1500 points against nids. The retaliation cadre came in turn 2 and absolutely slaughtered his MCs and gave me a great board control. It can be strong.I built mine tailored for nids, but could easily be an all comers list, with some tweaking. substitue ranged support cadre with OSCx2 and homing beacons, you could curb stomp a normal unit, but its a big risk if you are playing someone capable to tabling you on turn 1

You can go all Ghostkeel and Optimized Stealth for a real "Ninja" Tau list.
