If I have to just add something, it would be a few commissars.

If I were to restructure your list, I think that due to your high model count, you should look at getting a Cadian Detachment similar to the one below. With all lasguns rerolling ones to hit, and being able to fire heavy weapons even after moving at full BS it really buffs the power of your force. Also, since you want sentinels in your list, you're not paying a tax on them in the list (all sentinels give your troops move through cover). Perhaps with the 500 extra points, you could get the Emperor's Wrath Artillery Company so you can give orders to artillery and get twin linked ordnance for units in sight of your vox casters (you're not being taxed because you already have them).

Alternatively you could make your core choice the Emperor's Fist Armoured Company (you'll need to get one more tank) then get an Infantry Platoon as an auxiliary choice.

IMO have a look at the Cadian Supplement. You may find that you like it.

Interesting, I've been looking for advice on how to build one of these.

A few questions, if I may....
Sniper & Lascannon in CCS , how would you use these? Just as options for target choice?
What is your primary AT option? (5 lascannons doesn't seem a lot, and no melta)
-Is this just the troops part of a larger formation?
-If so, is the Emporer's [fist or something] artillery company a good choice?
Why grenade launchers?
Are you running this as 50-man blobs + Commissar?
-If so, is melee a viable option and then would power weapons on Sgts be worth it?

BTW, I would have thought that a Lord Commissar can't be warlord when you have a CCS in the army?

- 10,000+ (since 1994)
- 5000 (since 1996)
Harlequins/Ynnari -2500
Empire - 3000 (Current build)
Dwarves - Old and desperately in need of updating

With the 24 inch order range, I imagine that the CCS would just camp slightly behind the blob. Pouring out orders and long range fire.

I think this is sufficient AT for most mechanised infantry lists. Of course, if someone has heavier armour, I would definitely consider getting a vanquisher tank company as your core choice as they all get +1 to BS if they are next to the commander.

The first and only time I have ran the Emperors Fist Tank Company so far,

I took 2 vanquishers w/ LC and MM sponsons for the commander and 3 eradicators w/ heavy bolters and heavy stubbers. IT was devastating. 2 vanquishers in the center of the board to deal with armor and really hard targets, then anough firepower and ignore cover to go around to drown most anything in wounds...while being cheaper point wise as well.

 karlosovic wrote:

Yes and no. Unlike normal troops in a CAD, they do not have objective secured even though they consist entirely of troops choices. However, they are core choices in the Cadian detachment.

 karlosovic wrote:

Emperor's Wrath (tm)
Generally speaking, most of the auxillary choices in the Cadia supplement are absolutely fantastic. For the 5 points it costs to get a vox caster it makes the ordinance in the formation twin linked! However, to get the really good stuff you need to spend a ludicrous amount for your core choices.

 karlosovic wrote:

Because that is what comes on the sprue . It is just because the list is made for 1500 points melta/plasma would cost too much. However, I would still keep the flamers but replace the grenade launchers with plasma if you have the points.

 karlosovic wrote:

No, I would run it as a 30 man blob with heavy weapons, etc. then two 10 man squads with flamers as prescribed by FatboyNoSlim. This makes a buffer for the shooting.

I think that shooting is much more powerful for this list compared to CC. I miss the powerblobs back in 5th edition

It's a regular commissar

It's not going to beat Tau or Eldar at full strength but it gives a huge buff to those of us who didn't build mechvets. It's also very fluffy for Cadians.

Incidentally, the Emperor’s Shield Infantry Platoon bundle from GW doesn't actually have enough models in it to build the formation

I was quite shocked when I heard the news that it requires 5 units of guardsmen. Maybe someone misheard 5 units in a platoon minimum to 5 units of guardsmen minimum.

In the Codex: Cadia supplement for imperial guard. It's a stand alone book with lots of extra imperial guard formations etc
