I'm going for a semi-competetive army whilst trying to stick with a Tzeentch theme. The arch-demagogue and sorceror go in the twenty-man unit to give them covenant of Tzeentch and divination buffs for a nice shooty unit. I haven't played CSM before and I don't really know what works apart from heldrakes, so advice from CSM players is greatly appreciated.

IA13. You can't take covenant of Tzeentch in the Vraks list.

You can squeeze in two hot shot volley guns to your grenadiers if you can find the points, very nice list though!

Do I get to take the volley guns in addition to the meltas? I think that RAI it counts as part of the special weapons options, but I'll see how people at my local would play it. In case they can't take other special weapons with the volley guns would it be a good idea to just replace their meltaguns with them? Meltas are more versatile, but volley guns might be better for overwatch.

On a side note, I'm thinking I might give the infantry squads in the chimeras shotguns instead of autoguns, because they'll likely be getting close anyway and it just gives them the option to charge after shooting if they really need to. That's kind of a minor thing though.

Yes you can take the two specials and two hot-shot volleys. One of the perks of the unit.
