Hello everyone.

I'm new to 30k and space marine side of the house. I am building my 30k salamanders and I been look around to see what everyone else is doing.

One thing I haven't seen is people picking up librarians and want to see what people thought of them for salamanders. I would roll off of pyromancy or telepathy.

What's yalls thoughts on this.
Thank you
Marium

While I'm sadly under educated in Salamanders fluff, there is really nothing stopping you from making one. Depending on how closely you wanna follow the "Council of Nikea" side if the line.

As for why no one uses em eh, couldn't tell you. I personally am trying to figure out the best way to customize one for 30k just for fun.

Armies:
32,000 points (Blood Ravens) 2500 (and growing) 1850

I hear ya, I know the salamanders have librarian(s), from the 30k wiki. I would T give vulkan and a team of firedrakes or a 30 man tatical marines invis. Watch people suffer a bit. Being new my marines are still foot slogging it, so I am looking for survivability.

They cost a lot, are limited to ML2, got nerfed to Support Officer, and the only legion that can get a critical mass of warp charges is the Word Bearers.

8000 points of XI Legion the Space Vagabonds, they can adapt their tactics to represent any and every Legion and Chapter as needed because they were created by the Emperor to be the ultimate tactical power. They have faked their disappearance in order to infiltrate every part of the conflicts in the galaxy.

8000 points of Tau/Craftworld Eldar/Necron because the Space Vagabonds can also emulate their wargear and tactics.

Victories: ALL
Losses: NONE (My armies have the psychic ability to conjure a cataclysmic storm whenever they are about to lose. This allows the Space Vagabonds to teleport away while releasing power waves that destroys the battlefield and so every battle is a victory)

AND thousand sons (when they come out )

One thing I'd like to see the return of is the ability to go to ML 3. Yeah, if you NEED to, keep support officer, but really, I thought psykers were just fine in the first book, and didn't really need the changes.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Well, as soon as they have rules I'll add the Thousand Sons in that short, short list
