The Alpha Legion and some Genestealers have both started infiltrating the same heavily defending Imperial world at the same time, each not knowing about the others involvement. Chaos cults and genestealers cults will both begin to form, and eventually the full forces of Chaos and the Tyranids will descend on the planet. Firstly, who would infiltrate the planet the most effectively? Secondly, would either side become aware of each others involvement before they reveal themselves fully? Lastly, in the glorious battle of Imperials, Chaos and Tyranids, who would claim, or keep, the planet?

Just something I thought up walking to school this morning. Hopefully I'm not missing some important fluff that makes this whole scenario impossible to begin with.

None of this matters. The Imperium accidentally built on top of a sleeping Tomb World, and they won't be sleeping much longer.

The AL want to kill the loyal leaders and hold the planet while the 'nids just want to destroy everything. It is much easier to destroy than take over, as there is no such thing as collateral damage for the 'nids. So the original infiltration efficiency doesn't matter, as the ultimate fate will be a barren rock.
Also there is no way the AL would lose a single warrior in defense of this planet against the 'nids. There are plenty more planets without facehuggers on them.

So you're assuming the AL know that the nids are going to attack when they launch their own attack?

Even if they don't as soon as the 'nids do attack, and a hive fleet is a little difficult to sneak up with, they will jump planet. We've seen that their prized operatives are very skilled at getting off a tumultuous planet in one of the HH short stories

The Alpha Legion cult infiltrates and takes over the Genestealer Cult, while the Genestealers infiltrate the Alpha Legion Cult. So now there is a Chaos-controlled Genestealer Cult fighting a Genestealer-controlled Chaos cult. Things get weird like that once the Alpha Legion is involved in something.

The Alpha Legion figures out that there's a weird Cult they can't infiltrate. They eventually figure things out and get the Hell outta Dodge, but not before pointing the Ultramarines in the direction of the planet.
