They should have been made years ago. It's nice that they waited until they had the technology to make plastic sisters of battle so that they could make a plastic bloodthirster with it instead, but ever since the rumor mill put the torch to any hopes of plastic greater daemons, I'm left to wonder if Games Workshop is seriously intending on spacing these releases out every other year.
Bloodthirster in 2015
Lord of Change in 2017
Great Unclean One in 2019
Keeper of secrets in 2021
Why? I can't think of a reason.

Well, alot of the big MC kits have Been dual kits so far, tyranids, thirster, rat man thing.
My guess is that no one has taken time to design different GD variants.

Massive kits cost alot to make.
Not the easiest to make in plastic.

But, but....but Fantasy Endtimes released a TON of big plastic kits in rapid succession, then immediately killed the game they were made for. They EASILY could have allocated the resources to make the other 3 Greater Daemon models for the game they still support.

Probably because they're not guaranteed kit sellers like SM, and some are far less iconic. The Bloodthirster took forever but largely came out first since Khorne is one of the most identifiable of the Chaos Gods and the easiest to market (hence the Bloodsworn/Khorne everyday stuff for AoS). I have no idea if or when they'll ever get around to a Keeper of Secrets as that is the one in most need of a makeover, just because it seems that Slaanesh as an idea seems to be lost on them for design.

They are all probably already secretly made and are just waiting for the proper time to release
like a lot of stuff have 2014 or previous trade marks so they do sit on things quite often.
its also to make CSM and Daemon players cry because they are filthy heretics

This.
There is no one within GW who really gives a flying fart about Chaos anymore. Without someone to champion the faction, we're just going to continue to get the middle finger because, "screw Chaos" is what GW does best.
It's the same reason why CSM's have been the game's worst army for over a decade now, and why our model line is the game's most pathetically ancient... At least Sisters still look ace. It seems like any time a Chaos kit needs doing, they give it to the trainees and just tell them to gak it out and call it a day.

They haven't released the others yet because they're still trying to work out how to make them attach to the base through the smallest amount of material possible.

FW did their own run. Perhaps they took note of what sold there (probably Khorne and Nurgle as always).
Didn't a reliable source on here say Glotkin was originally the new Great Unclean One. So that's two down.
Lord of Change will happen eventually.
Doubt a Keeper of Secrets will.

Insect-Infested Nurgle Chaos Lord
|
The Blood Thirster came out to tie it in with the new AoS faction, which predominantly featured Khornate units and Daemons.
Nurgle sorta got theirs in the form of the Glottkin. If there's gonna be another one, they'll probably try to make it another triple-threat GD like the Thirster, or possibly make it possible to build Ku'Gath, since Skarbrand got a kit too. Similar thing for the Lord of Change, since they actually have a Fateweaver model right now.
Keeper of Secrets might be slowly phased out, as GW seems to wanna drop Slaanesh due to it's...unwholesomeness for children (but hey, gore, disease and body horror is apparently ok!).

Large kits that a player will probably only buy one of for a fairly unpopular army is a big risk.

There's less risk for Daemons though since it's something for 40k and Fantasy AoS. Besides, greater daemons are something you can easily have multiple of in your army, unlike something like Nagash or Archaeon of which aren't dual kit, cost a bundle (though the models are pretty freakin' awesome) and are named characters, so you'll only ever require 1.

Those models weren't made for whfb mate, they were made with AoS firmly in mind. That's why they were packaged differently, and were clearly designed to go on round bases.
You've got to remember that they are on a finite budget, and prioritize kits they think will generate the greatest return. The new eldar jetbikes were done a few years ago, but they didn't get made until about 2-3 years later. The gd might be done already, but are being deprioritised as kits with better potential compete for production money. They might not intend to do them at all.

They also outsell GW models by a ratio that is ridiculous making mould investment a no brainer.
Bandai have averaged approx 10 million gundam kits a year. GW is nowhere near that.

The more I think about it the more it annoys me that we got the Bloodthirster we did. It isn't just ugly, it's twice as big and expensive as anyone ever needed. A kit more along the lines of the Hive Tyrant would've been much better. There'd be plenty of room for optional parts even for the ones with wings.
At this rate, it would be cheaper to just buy a FW daemon prince and herald pack rather than some oversized GUO and if you wanted to get a really expensive daemon there's always Corbax.
Sigh.

The price of Greater Daemons (and the fact that three of them are crap "Fine"cast) has been putting me off for a long time. I always wanted a Lord of Change, but saw the metal one literally fall apart first hand more than once.
Probably for the best for me, I have too many armies, half armies and once-great plans sitting around as it is!
