Hello all! I've been lurking on this board for quite a while now, and thought it was the time to contribute. So, I collect Chaos Marines and Dark Angels, and potentially Dark Eldar. I've been working on a Khornate Chaos lord with a jump pack and lightning claws. I want him to look like he's rushing into battle, and I hope his current stage conveys that. There's also the issue of him not looking Khornate enough. He's being held together by blu tack at the moment. I would appreciate feedback.

Why are you using blutak to hold him together at the min?

Looking good, the pose is absolutely rushingintobattle-like. Maybe a bit unstable though, moving him to 30mm or gluing lead balls underneath maybe ?
The helmet already give him a khornate look, but some ideas to enkhornate him a bit could be the obvious trophy skulls and chains, or if you are not already decided on these precise claws, attaching AoS first weapons on top of powerfists can do pretty decent khornate claws...

So, I've painted some cultists, and here are some pictures. I took them with my phone, so the quality ain't too good. I have converted a few guardsmen to bolster the ranks of the cultists, so I'll post them when I can take better pictures.





I've been dreading to paint the Chosen ever since I assembled them, because I'm a relatively new painter and I thought I'd ruin them. To my surprise, they've been pretty fun to paint. So, pictures!

I'm liking the Khornate Lord, but he is in serious need of some trophies... perhaps a bandolier of skulls around his waist would improve his look somewhat?

I was thinking of attaching a rival Chaos Space marine's head on his pauldron, and some skulls on the base. No updates of significance, sadly, but there will be quite a few in a few weeks.

That Khorne Lord is a badass mofo. Great work.

Hello everybody, I'm back. I just came back from a trip to Indonesia, which was fun. Yesterday I went to the hobby store and worked on some more stuff. First of all, I bought the snap fit CSM as I have a box of those as well as the CSM codex coming in next week. I modified the backpacks as in my opinion the current backpacks are big and clunky, and they look absolutely nothing like the heresy era backpacks which bugs me.





I've added some skulls to the Chaos Lord's jump pack, and glued him together. (Apart from the pauldrons)

Hello, all! I apologise profusely for not updating sooner, it's just that I'm pretty sick of painting 40k stuff so I lost motivation for a while. I did assemble some minis, however, so here they are. I would like some feedback on them.

Here are some traitor guardsmen I converted using chaos warrior bits.



Here's an autocannon conversion I did with some terminator bits and a heavy bolter. Needs a little polishing.

Mutations are going to be a common theme in my army, so I used some greenstuff to make some mutations. These are my first few attempts at sculpting, so they are not good.

This cultist was inspired by a mini in the CSM codex.


I also used GS on the marine with the autocannon.

Hey all.

This plog hasn't been updated for a good long while, and I'd like to remedy that. I've been working on finishing my great big group of cultists, so that I can move on to painting actual marines.

Here's a Slaaneshi commissar. The head is from the Empire Greatsword kit, while the blade of the sword is from the Beastman Gor kit.



Here's a traitor guardsman I made quite a while ago. I've now replaced his bolter with an autopistol.

Hmm, a slaanshi comissar, interesting concept, that should be good. Great builds too, keep it up !
