Most if not all other SM Apothecaries wear white armor regardless of their chapter or company's colors. So, what about the Deathwatch? Do they wear white armor instead or black armor with the Apothecary symbol somewhere easily viewable on their armor? I ran a google images search for Deathwatch Apothecary, and it came back with so many different paint schemes. Is there a set paint scheme for Deathwatch Apothecaries?

Thanks

I would go with black armor like the rest but with an apothicary symbol and maybe a white helmet as a compromise?

Like Librarains (and to a lesser extent, Chaplains), how much the Chapter colour vs role colour is used can vary greatly. Librarians sometimes have the fully blue armour with one pad in Chapter colours, equally, you can often see them in Chapter colours with the Librarian pad blue. Same goes for Apothecaries. I'd keep their Chapter pad and Deathwatch pads, then maybe the head, chestplate or one arm in Apothecary white then the rest in regular black.

There's no hard and fast rules, though, so do whatever you think looks coolest and suits the model!

Maybe overlay an apothecary helix on top of the chapter insignia on one of the pads?

Google deathwatch apothecary. There's some artwork from the Deathwatch RPG books depicting apothecaries an they are in all black armour, silver left arm as normal with a white helmet, white left knee and white narthecium casing.

Accuracy might vary, but in my Deathwatch RPG book, by FFG, their example Apothecary has the typical, black suit of the Deathwatch, and the silver arm/vembrace on the left side. The "I'm an Apothecary, I wear white" is reflected in his helmet, his backpack, and his narthecium, on the right arm, as well as the various Apothecary symbolisms, and embellishments. His right shoulder also advertises which Chapter he hails from, left knee, too.

Certainly, artistic license can weasel in, lots of places, and this is the same game that once had Craftworld Skittles Eldar ("See the rainbow. Be aced by the rainbow!") some decades ago, so a bit of garish color is par for the course. I won't say Fantasy Flight Games actively sat down with GW, and that they cleared every art choice, but it's a pretty good representation, in my opinion, if maybe simply their own artistic license, but they have a bit of the license to "officially" make stuff, so it feels slightly more justified, to me. The Techmarine follows the theme. Black armor, silver left arm, Chapter logo right shoulder, and his helmet, backpack, servoarm, and right knee are the red of Mars, with proper logos. Librarian subs in blue on the pack, knees, and part of the right shoulder (no helmet in that picture).

Well, hope that helps. if not, best of luck, regardless.

Well the Techmarine Red, Chaplain Black, Librarian Blue and Apothecary White are all Codex suggestions, and being a volunteer specialist (ie, not Codex) chapter, the Deathwatch don't have to follow it.

They do all wear black those as service to the Inquisition and Emperor. I'd maybe suggest black armour, chapter colours on the right pad, silver as normal, but white for the Narthecarium
